Not real familiar with pro building, just the highlights, but are there any modern day pros over six feet? I mean, Arnold and Lou were both well over six feet I believe, but now days, I don't think any of the top pros are... am I mistaken?
Thanks.

Was that an echo?
Anyway, I think that too. There's no place in Olympia for guys over 6'2 these days I guess.. And even being 6 to 6'2 you need some serious balls (and perfect health) to at least TRY to reach that level as the amount of a mass you need to put/keep is insane, a huge toll for a body IMHO.. Any guy that height at that level automatically has my respect no matter how high/low he places, 'cause that's f'ckin ridiculous amount of work/efforts/risk underlying..Last edited by IwillBaMonster; 03-09-2009 at 07:13 PM.

haha.. you still look awesome though!
i dont think arnold was anywhere near 6'2.. maybe 6'1 at the absolute most.. when i met him he was 5'11 it seemed
i realized every single pro lied about their height this weekend.. almost everyone was at least an inch or two shorter than they claimedMET-Rx/Pure Protein Board Rep

yes arnold was 6"2 during his prime weighing in at 235, which is much lighter and taller then todays pros. Ronnie was a freak of nature i believe he was 5"10, 5"11. Being taller usually means longer muscle fibers which makes it harder to add on large mass. For me personally i am a huge fan of the arnold, frank zane style of physique, i think body builders now a day look ridcuolous but i priase them for their dedication and hard work that they put into their physiques.

Seeing him in person a couple days ago, he's not quite that tall. He's over 6 foot, but not 6'4".
You're joking, right? Jay almost 6'? LOL.
Unless you consider "knocking on that door" being within 6" of it.
I'd put him more at 5'10" or 5'11" as of three days ago.
Probably close to this....maybe 6'2". I spent about 20 minutes with him Saturday night and I'm 6'1" and he was slightly taller than me.It's hard to win an argument with a smart person. It's damn near impossible to win an argument with a stupid person. - Bill Murray

positive.. if anything im shorter by a half an inch which would make every pro i saw even shorter
over the last 3 years i met(not just seen them) at least 20-30 pros at the arnold and guest posers(retired and current)
most bbers seem to be about 5'6-5'9
I will say some of the guys who seem to be 100% hoenst about height is cutler/wolf/darrem charles/ trey brewer(i know he isnt a pro).. and maybe 1 or 2 othersLast edited by MattyH7688; 03-10-2009 at 01:00 PM.
