Anterior Vs Posterior

Right now my triceps are stronger than my biceps, my quads stronger than my hamstring. Chest is stronger than back. My question is...

For a perfect sculpted body does anterior need to equal posterior in strength or will this cause an off balanced looking body?

I've seen some guys at the gym that have HUGE back muscles but all small and scrawny in the chest area. Same with guys with huge triceps but no bicep muscles at all. When considering weights, do I want my muscles to get to the point where they are pulling the same weight or is there a ratio co-effecient from one muscle to the next? Like the Vetruvian Man.

You should definitely strive to achieve a balanced body in terms of muscular size and strength.

Firstly, being proportionate simply LOOKS good. The guys with a huge back and scrawny chest just look ridiculous. You will also start developing bad posture.

Secondly, many injuries including tendinitis can occur because of muscle imbalances.

And finally, no. All of the muscles of the body are different, just because you can lift more on the bench press than with a barbell row doesn't necessarily mean your chest is that much stronger. The weights lifted between different muscle groups vary largely.

Work on proportions though, having a strong chest with a strong back. Obtain strong lower back muscles with strong abs and obliques and obtain balanced looking arms. You will look good as well as minimize injury risks and obtain good posture.

A lot of this can have to do with genetics as well. A cousin of mine has HUGE triceps but his biceps look small. No matter what he does, he cannot build bicep peak. He can curl a freakin' bus (LOL) but they just don't look that big.
