Need some help

I thought I would ask everyone in here because i'm sure I will get some good help. My school is having a strongman competition consisting of truck pull, atlas stones, keg dead lift, overhead press, and farmers walk. Well I have never done anything like this and want to give it a shot, but I need some help with a training routine and any other tips hints. Right now my lower back bothers me sometimes, but I think i'll be fine since the comp. is on apr. 25. Thanks!

There are tons of strongman routines out there, do a little research.

Basically, you'll find that most train similarly to powerlifters, with an event day tossed in.

Do you have the weights for the events? Are they something you can handle?

Here's the most difficult simple advice that I can give: Get access to the implements and train the events 1x a week.

Wish I could be of more help. Work on your rep endurance and GPP. Get used to the feel of the implements.
