I know female dogs and cats do, and other animals... but do human females have like a certain time of the year or something that they go into heat and have sex with a bunch of guys

Well the strenous definition of "heat" would be mating season, so no humans do not have a mating season - they are capable of sex and reproduction year-round. For instance, an Emperor penguin does NOT have sex in the summer time and lay eggs in July. There is a certain time of year they do it, and they DONT do it outside that time, because the females penguins aren't even ovulating.
That's one of the problems why we have so dang many billions of humans, from puberty to menopause, bishes can get preggo all but maybe 3 days of the month. (you don't when those 3 days are!!!)
