I was there all through it. At the time I thought it was the best thing the WWF had ever come up with. It was so unpredictable you never knew what they would do next, the crowds were great and the characters and storylines made it a success. Yup, they truly took the concept that ECW had and turned it into a hot product. WCW had the superior matches though!

the era attitude was the best...there was the Rock, American Bad Ass Undertaker, Masked Kane, and a good played Heel HHH..the divas were hotter too..plus the storylines were more original...I miss the old days of the era attitude !

The whole monday night wars time was great, if WWF was **** you could just switch over. Not enough Stone Cold in that video and too much 2002 stuff (you can argue the true atttiude era ended Nov '99 with more censorship coming) (yes, being picky).
97 to 03 was the best for me then i completely tuned out for a few years and saw a commercial for RAW like a year and a half ago and thought lets see how it is now. It felt so wierd seeing these other guys on top
Summer '97 right up until WMX7 was the most enjoyable. 2000 was the absolute best year in terms of PPV quality, star power, chemistry and storylines all gelling well together. The invasion was OK, but really could have been a lot better. Business was hot really all the way through to the middle of 2002, but the decline had already started when Steph became head writer in autumn 2000.
It was the greatest era that I was able to watch. I remember always hitting the last button on the remote and having on wcw or wwf, but I would always be mad cause they would go to the commerical at the same time and I would have to make a decision on which to watch. I would like to been around in the early 80's and been able to watch that growing up though and not have to watch the matches on youtube.

I miss these days, (I think the majority of us do) I remember staying up late regardless of the time to watch WWF/WWE wrestling back then,
some of the best, most controversial, anticipating moments in WWE history
Show your appreciation! some of your favourite moments? fav pics? youtube clips?
Wow, Mandy! You certainly weren't just blowing smoke out of your butt with this thread. I really do miss the old days of the WWF/WWE, when the storylines and matches were equally good.
My favorite moments were back during the Corporation, the group that Vince McMahon led with The Rock, Big Bossman, and a few others guys (can't remember them all, because it was such a long time ago, lol). I remember those times being the first that I was ever introduced to Vince's kids, Shane and Stephanie McMahon, as I'd only seen him most of the time when I was watching wrestling with my older sister.
Then there was DX...but should I really go on from there? LOL!
Honestly, I'm actually ashamed to say that I watched more of WCW than I did WWF/WWE, because WCW was like watching a funny sitcom or Saturday Morning Cartoon every Monday and Wednesday nights. Only now do I realize that was actually a horrible thing, haha!

Back when it was cool to make fun of WCW because you were a WWF fan. Or when WWF was still WWF, with a capital 'F'. Or when you'd spend hours debating with a friend who would win in a match: Goldberg or Stone Cold? I LOVED the Attitude Era!
Factions were the best part, in my opinion. The Corporation, The Ministry, The Union, Degeneration-X, etc.
Back when the Dudleyz would put someone through a table EVERY week.
When RAW was just as good or better than the monthly PPV.
I think a lot of guys could've been better in this time of WWE.. CM Punk for example. What's the era today called anyway?

I wish they could do that over at TNA, which is where they're depicted as how they were in the original ECW and the early days of WWE, only not putting people through tables as much.

Back when good ol' JR risked having a heart attack because of his sheer excitement for what was happening in the ring. I haven't heard JR like that in a long time.. he's pretty calm these days.
Nation of Domination.
When Austin filled up McMahon's corvette full of cement!
When Austin would drive to the arena in a monster truck. Also when he ran over The Rock's car, crushing it.
When Undertaker was "Lord of Darkness" and would actually whip his allies for losing matches while other Ministry members held them down.
Mankind vs. Undertaker, Hell in a Cell
Hardyz vs. Dudleys vs. Edge & Christian, Triangle Ladder Match

More so than the actual Attitude Era, I miss the guys that were around then and wish that it was physically possible for them to all still be wrestling now.
I was going to put up Rock throwing Austin off a bridge but I like this Rock & Austin match better.
What year was that? The first RAW i ever watched and i was hooked!
Also what year as Mick Foley vs Triple H in a hell in a cell where he had to retire when he lost?
