Wow, what a crazy wknd!
It started at the butt crack of dawn Fri morning before my mom & her friend arrived. I was vacuuming my car before the sun came up. After a 6h drive, we rolled into Columbus.
I joined an already packed room to make a ttl of 5 ladies. Crazy! But I couldn't have have asked for a better combo of ppl. Tara, Age, Josie, & Diane. What a great variety of amazing women!
Eventually, my mom joined me, & we hit Max & Erma's for a quick dinner, & then we charged the Expo floor for an early start. We spotted the regular mix of models & stars. By the middle, I was so sick of protein bars. Oh my goodness. I did buy some Trioplex cookies. Unfortunately, I did not realize the srvng size is per cookie, not package of 2. Ughhh... No wonder I haven't bought them in the past. Oh well... I did like the Oh Yeah Choco/Almond bar, too. Yummm
Mom & I were a bit disgusted at some booths ideas of a fitness model. Some of them were hideous. (Josie *not* included) Just bc you have boobs doesn't mean you can sell fitness junk) The guys were shameless, too, taking pics and ogling the women in what looked like cheap Halloween costumes. It was a bit too much to be honest.
I was able to get to know Diane this wknd as well which was a pleasant surprise. She's the cool mom type you wish you had. I can't count how many times she made me laugh this wknd. *And* she loaned me a hawt outfit for going out Sat night. THANK YOU!
Sat I hit the expo agn going btwn mom & her friend & the bb.com ladies. It was berserk on that floor! Sooo many ppl! We got some pics and met some models including Tosca Reno, Kim Lyons, etc... Also, on a side note, I've never smelled so many ppl farting in public. It was disgusting, and you couldn't get away easily bc of the crowds. Yikes
For Sat dinner, I got some one on one time with Age which was great as expected. It's nice to hang with like minded ppl.
Sat night I scored a pass into an "after party" at a club called Sugar. My mom's friend is the supp buyer for Rite-Aid, and the Iovate (Xenadrine) supplier had VIP access at the club. Therefore, I got in for free & drank for free. Sweet! My mom was looking particularly hawt, too. Unfortunately, she looked too hawt bc I had to drag her away from some sleezeballs. Besides that, I really need to not drink anymore. The last 2 times, I've just felt awful for the next 24h. Plus, I had to dump like 8 oz of breastmilk :^(
Speaking of which, I'm sure that's all anyone in the room will remember about me. Me sitting there with my pump. A dull pumping waaoowaaoowaaoo... I had 2 ice buckets of bottles before we left. I had to disappear every 3h or so. Oh well, that's the price I pay for my baby girl :^)
I did also buy a cute shirt that says MILF (Mom Into Living Fit) So cute.
Needless to say, by Sun, I was sick to my stomach wanting to be home with my family. I couldn't get home fast enough.
