# Thread: How should i confuse my chest muscles?

1. ## How should i confuse my chest muscles?

My bench is now a max of 170. I started off by doing a 5 rep 3 set bench, incline workout which got me pretty far. Then i stalled, and started the bench like an animal workout, which is a pyramid style. It starts with 6 reps at a light weight then it goes all the way down to 1 while increasing the weight. I stalled out of that too and here I am at 170 lbs.

Any ideas what I should do next?

I think i already have my excersises figured out, im gonna do flat bench, incline, dips and pec dec flys. Its just the rep range/ set range i need help on.

3. You might try a 5x5 Scheme?
Also, Weighted pushups, Dumbells and Supersets helped me break a plateau

5. switch to db's for a while, and throw in some dips. also try close grib bench press and reverse grip. be carefull w/ the reverse grip though cuz it can be hard to hold.

tell them to find the definite integral with respect to x of the function F(x)=(1/(2x^2))(sinx) from 0 to 30. Unles you're really advanced, they should be thoroughly confused

just switch up db and bb preses, flies, dips, weighted pushups, plenty of different exercises brahski.

10. want to confuse them? its very simple!!

put, say 115 pounds on the bar. do 3 sets of 5 of 115. DONE! come back next time and put 120 on and repeat.. eventually you will be repping your max for 5 and more!

like a month and a half now.

13. Tell it a riddle, or better yet try doing some crazy drop sets, I used to put 6 -10lbs plates on each side of a barbell, do 7 sets, dropping 1 10 plate from each side every set with no rest, I would get stuck under the empty bar by the end...

Don't even lift just sit there

Your muscles will be like "wtf mang?!"

dude. did you really just type brahski? am i seeing that correctly?

20. Cable Crossovers with a superset pushup would probably be a good one for you to add in order to switch things up a bit. Try it out. 4 Sets, 8-12 reps on the crossovers and then 12-20 reps on the pushup supersets.
