How many push ups should I do? (15 years old)

I just began training and I wonder how many pushups and situps/crunches I should do. I kno I have to rest 48h every time.

This is m first time doing pushups and situps, I swim to, but not running.

please I need advice, how many should I do? Should I do before I sleep and after I have woken up?

    also, what should I eat?

Last thing, I'm 15, and I want to satrt training is because girls loves 6 pack, and my goal is to gain real visual muscles and 6 pack.

    Please, all replies are appreciated.

You should do as many as you can. If you want real muscle with a six pack, get some free weights. All your need is a power rack, bench, bar, and weights. Dumbbells also make a great addition.

I suggest you read something before asking here, there are incredibly useful guides on the main website and some stickied on the forums.

you seem to lack general knowledge about training and nutrition. luckily this is the perfect place to learn. i suggest you troll around the workout programs/exercise and nutrition sections to get a better idea of what to do.

get a good diet and basic program going.

if I continue doing pushups and situps/crunches and eat right, after 1-2 months more, do I have to take another step ? Cant I just do situps/crunches and pushups + 48h rest until I get 18 ?

Yes you'll get a lot of size from push ups, and sit ups dude.

Do them in sets. Don't listen to people saying "YOU NEED WEIGHTS" you don't need them.

What i would reccomend checking out is the Navy seal workout here on BB.com.

For the 2nd time though, you do not need weights. Don't listen to people saying that. If you do push ups and sit ups you WILL adapt to your body weight and you'll be able to do more but if you do more for each set you're still going to get bigger.

For example. If you start out doing 4 sets of 15 push ups and eventually you can do 8 sets of 30. Change it to 4 sets of 60.

throw some pullups and chinups in there as well, and dips. also, remember that there are tons of pushup variations out there.

    No.

    You just don't workout hard.

And you believe way too much of bro science.

Stop reading articles full of useless junk and find out what works best for you. Half the time what you're reading is a joke.

"Don't workout more than an hour"
"Eat 300 grams of protein a day"
"Bulking is the only possible way to gain size"
    , etc

Genetics play a part in it, but the same thing worked out for tyson, as well as many others.

lol. the 3 statements u just said are generall true.
1.you don't exactly lose all ur muscle after an hour of working out, but it IS true that ur body releases cortisol and it can be detrimental to workout TOO long in the gym.
    2. this is also true in a way. not exatly 300 grams, but let's say aroud 1.5 times ur bodyweight for a nice recovery.
    3. uhh.. call it whatever you like, but eating big and hitting ur macros IS the only way to get big. can you tell me any other way to get big? o.0

and op, technically, 72 hours is optimal for muscle recover (of course there are a lot of other factors that play a role in recovery time but that is the generally accepted best time for recovery)

    2. this is also true in a way. not exatly 300 grams, but let's say aroud 1.5 times ur bodyweight for a nice recovery.
    3. uhh.. call it whatever you like, but eating big and hitting ur macros IS the only way to get big. can you tell me any other way to get big? o.0

and op, technically, 72 hours is optimal for muscle recover (of course there are a lot of other factors that play a role in recovery time but that is the generally accepted best time for recovery)
Everything you just said. Is complete bro science.

I don't follow any of that at all, making gains fine.

Laff at the ignorance of the teen section.

Oh and by the way. You can workout and eat without turning into a lardass only to cut 5 months later.

    Your welcome.

You can make gains with bodyweight, it's just harder and takes more than simple pushups and situps. Go into the workout section, go to the helpful links sticky, and look at the routines link. There should be bodyweight routines in there.

    Here's a workout program for 100 push-ups in 6 weeks & also a 200 crunches program(on the website there's another link), link:
