no dude i lifted hard for 6 months (except for 4 weeks of being sick randomly thrown in when i could lift), had a proper diet, and lots of sleep on the weekend
..i dont get it, do people really think it's THAT bad progress? I mean, maybe i gained a bit more fat than ideal, but I def. gained muscle underneath.. when I cut i'll look better anyway, you'll see!

yes it is because you're lifts arent good. Get into a fight with a guy who's your weight but benches 275 and dls 400lbs and you'll get your ass beat. Worry about lifting weights, not gaining weight. If you want to gain weight eat as much big macs as you can afford. I'm pretty sure you'll have the most mass on this forum at a weight of about 400 lbs.

OP, don't attempt to make it to 230+ you will be huge alright but way too much body fat % and it would take a unreasonable amount of time for you to cut that much fat. Not only that but you would have some huge stretch marks around your waist from that much fat. Just don't do it man.

No offence bro but stay within your genetic limits, that is a ****load of fat for only a 35 pound gain, you should just eat 300-400 cals over your needs and train real hard. I am gonna sound like a retard saying this but I gained 65 pounds in 4 1/2 months with only a 5% BF increase at most, so its not impossible to run a successful bulk, but you just gotta go by what your body allows you to do. If I was you I would start cutting now and just gain weight really slow, obviously your genetics aren't the best.
