Alright so i started working out again.
Well the first day i started i did my Biceps mainly, some hammer Curls, and some normal Curls, i did them slow and my form was good as far as i could tell my elbows didnt move i didnt use any momentum it wsa all bicep. The next day my biceps were sore, the next 2 times i did my biceps they were sore.
This past week my biceps just refuse to get sore... i mean yesterday i did counting 3 seconds up and 3 seconds going down.. focused on my form didnt let me arm move and i did 4 sets of 25reps with 10lb dumbells (I weigh 122lb). Today i am not sore at all. I had also done my abs, my chest, my legs, my tris, and they are all sore except my biceps... does anyone know why they dont get sore? anyone else have this problem

mix ure training up man - warmup - do maybe 3/4 sets of that slow bicep curle movements u do, normal and hammer. then hit them heavy with preacher curls..get 12.5s or 15's - aim for 2-4 reps 3 sets. if u find u cnt do 12.5's dw - negative rep them 4 or 5 times

You dont have to be sore to be growing in size or strength. When your muscles get a little used to what you are doing, they usually stop getting sore. The only time I get DOMS any more is when I add an exercise I have not done for a long time or add someting new, then it only last for a one time. Correction....sometimes when I have a very intense workout, like doing 10 sets of squats instead of my normal set count I am a little sore, but thats usually joints not the actual muscle.

You don't need to be sore. When I'm not sore (particularly for my legs), I'm happy.
I'm not sure but I think that just means there's not as much lactic acid build-up. Lucky.
But anyway. THat could be wrong. Just cause you're not sore doesn't mean you had a bad workout. I had the same question, and I read up online a few months ago.

Well i do work them to failure, i do like a sort of 5th set after my 4th where i jsut keep going till my biceps wont lift anymore.
When i am dont the workout they feel huge and do get a lot bigger for that short amount of time, but no soreness the next day. They do grow in size ive always had this problem with my biceps, and yes they grow in size.
So basically what you guys are saying is soreness doesnt necessarily mean your muscles are getting bigger? My biceps are still growing even if they dont get sore?
One last question its really hard for me to get my shoudlers sore as well.

soreness does NOT mean growth.
you're also doing far to many reps, up the weight to something where the last rep is JUST there, and stick between 8 - 12 reps, i believe this is the best range for biceps, correct me if i'm wrong though."I'm so fast that last night I turned off the light switch in my hotel room and was in bed before the room was dark."

Oh noes my muscles arn't sore, I not gonna get bigz.
STFU. Seriously soreness doesn't not equal mass. Just workout, do the sets that you have given yourself and do them, up the weight each week or each workout if your form is good.
Also this bull**** about lifting slowly 3 seconds up 3 seconds down. WTF is that, it means nothing, just lift the weight in a controlled manner, this time thing is a myth. The more you sweat in practice, the less you bleed in battle.

I have a questiont than, what does soreness mean, what does it do, and why do you get sore?
Also is it true you shoudl work your arms everyother day... aparently they dont recover fast enoguh... and your suppose to do abs like everyday.. cause they revcover fast. So if i workout my biceps everyday and tri's is it bad?
Also is it true if u stretch before working out you increase your gains.
EDIT: mm oh yes one more thinng, you know how some people have hard as rock arms when they flex... Well my biceps arent very hard, infact it kinda hurts when you squeeze them tightly... is that normal? or do those people do something else to get their biceps that hard. Parts of triceps same story but the lower part of my tricep is solid.Last edited by Dr.FuzzyBallz; 03-01-2009 at 03:15 PM.
