my name isn't diana
how long have you been deadlifting?
form looks like it definitely needs some work--you're just brutally strong to be pulling that the way you are. have you tried pulling with a narrower stance? yours is pretty wide for a conventional deadlift--most people have a pretty narrow stance when pulling conventional. i believe most people use the same width as they would if they were going to do a standing jump
it looks like you're using a lot of back too and just pulling the weight with brute strength. you should try taking your stance in a little more and point your toes outward slightly, a narrower stance should hopefully make it easier for you to get more legs into the lift along with the back

I started pulling about 3-4 years ago, starting with only SLDL. I agree it does not feeling like I'm using the best leverage. If you noticed I went a bit wider in the second vid as I was experimenting with foot positioning and it definitely felt worse. Really appreciate your comments, I will definitely try a narrower stance next week (also point the toes out) and report back. Keep the comments coming, this is why I posted this.

Strong pulls but you aren't doing much more than SLDL. I used to do them like that.
I keep repeating this mantra in my head now. PULL BACK NOT UP
It's a hell of a lot easier.

your deadlift leverages arent particularly ideal...lol, long torso long femur...
take your stance in a bit, when i pull sumo my stance is only about 3 inches wider then your stance was in the 2nd video. try keeping a tight upward arch in your lower back while at the same time keeping your upper back rounded, this will give you better pop off the floor without killing your lockout.

I see what you mean from watching the vid. Looks like I can bring my stance quite a few inches. Thanks!!

Yeah in the 2nd vid it looks like a mix of sumo and conventional, which isn't really ideal from any angle, lol. Funny that I never realized how wide I was going until watching this several times. Like I said above I'm going to try coming in 3-4 inches which should help me get the legs more involved during the pull. Appreciate the feedback.

I agree with what was said.
You'll need to work on your technique, try to arch your back, because right now, it's almost frightening to watch.
Because of your leverages, you could also try to deadlift with deadlift socks, it will get you closer to the bar, and might reduce your back rounding.
I also notice that sometimes, your hips shoot up before the bar does, especially on the later sets.
That's all I can see for now.
You might have to lower the weights a bit just to get used to a better technique. That will be beneficial in the long term, as you'll be able to handle higher weights once your technique is perfected.
Good luck.

It's in a basement with a drop ceiling so there isn't a lot of 'headroom' to spare, heh. I've gotten used to it by now but it was weird at first.

Sounds good, really appreciate the input! I'm very glad I got this vid up. Don't know if I can film next week since I'll be on the road, but I will definitely bring in the stance and work on the arch. The socks may not happen if I have to lift in a commercial gym, but may try that at home.

nice pulls. youre a brute but the technique could be better
i second the closer stance.
ur decent could be quicker too. let gravity do the work
before u pull each rep, try to take a poo and get a breath full of air in ur stomach. + arch that lower back.
if you have trouble getting the arch work on hamstring flexibility. its important to do hamstring stretches with and arched back or else you'll just be increasing ur back flexibility and not hamstrings
Pitza: i gotta take a dump and lift soon, all alone. damn training partner.
Asianman: nothing beats taking a dump with a training partner
Asianman: good timessssss
Pitza: LOLOL NICE BURN

Haha, well the room basically has a rack, platform, and about 2000 lbs of plates. So yeah, you could call it my deadlift/squat room.
Thanks a lot fellas, looking forward to practicing some more on Wednesday. Will report back.
