Make sure you're giving your body time to recover. Are you taking rest days?

Well if you've already done a heavy day of legs...maybe lighten the load a little...change up the workout and the exercises.
There's a difference between sore and not being able to walk...so be smart and listen to your body. If you need a rest day take one...your body will thank you!

There is a difference between being sore--vs-- straining something. If you are just sore from say-a new program? then it might do you some good to get some blood into that muscle. BUT if it is hurting..like a strain then I would rest it as well.

Part of upper/lower or full body training is training through soreness. For upper lower workouts, it's usually structured so that your heavier workout is earlier in the week when you're rested and then your second workout is higher reps with lower weight - whether it be 3 x 8 or 3 x 12.
Soreness can also be an indicator of poor nutrition. You might not be getting good meals around your workout, or you might be low on dietary fat.

I know when i started training a few weeks ago. My body was extremely sore for the first week. Anything i worked on hurt for a couple of days. My muscles hurt so much i would grunt every time i took a step.
I believe it took my body some time to adapt to the work i was putting it through. I still get stiff muscles, but not even close to what they were in the first week of my training.
