Are pull ups causing my back pain?

I've been doing pull ups since january 2018. Around december I started feeling pain in the upper back, it hurts after some time standing up. However if a lie flat on the ground or bed the pain goes away. I thought it may be caused by pull ups, as that is the only different activity I've engaged in since january 2018 and I do them on a daily basis (12 repetitions).

Has anyone heard of pull ups causing upper back pain or is aware of someone in the same situation as me?
