Thoughts on a woman fighting another woman when disrespected when at a bar/club/ect?

I know that some guys won't hesitate to demand respect or stand up for themselves if they are disrespected by another guy when at a bar, club, party, or any other social setting.

For example, if another guy starts cussing you out, calling you a p*ssy, calling you out for your manhood, and throws his drink at you. In that situation most guys aren't going to hesitate to fight (most guys, not all guys i think). Even if the other guy is drunk, there's only so much you can take right?

Well do you think it goes the same for women? I'm asking because I was in a similar situation the other night, some drunk college girl was yelling things at me the whole night, and calling me things, and then just before i was about to leave she throws her drink at me. So i went after her and smacked her in the face and shoved her before some people broke us up.

A couple of the guys there were saying things like, "You shouldn't have done that, she was drunk." Another said, "Girls shouldn't let things like that get to them, you didn't need to try to fight her." I understand she was drunk, a little, but not wasted; and really there is only so much a person can take. And do guys really think girls should just take being disrespected like that and not do anything about it?

The girls in our group are all fairly thick skinned (they have to be to get along with us all really). If a girl did something like that to one of them i would expect them to fight back. Fortunatly it has never acctually happened. Never let anyone walk over you regardless of how drunk they are.

Girl fights are also hot!

given the circumstances there was nothing wrong with what u did. She was being disrespectful and deserved what she got. Being drunk shouldn't be an excuse for acting like a dkhead.

Well i think violence should be the last thing anyone should resort to, especially women...on the other hand throwing a drink at you IS asking for trouble and you have every right to defend yourself.

You did what most people would do when provoked but for a chick its not very classy to fight with another girl in front of a bunch of people.

Dont worry too much about it really most people would have been too drunk to remember probs

This is what i was thinking of when i asked this question. Why is it when a guy fights another guy that is disrespecting him, he's being a man and standing up for himself, but when a woman does the same thing some guys think it is trashy?

If someone threw a drink at my girlfriend there would be a fight, right, wrong or whatever; there would be a fight.

On that note, if someone threw a drink at me and all I did was try and walk away faster before they did some other horrible thing to me, I don't think I would ever get over it.

Not much of a story. I don't know the exact reason why she was like that towards me the whole night, someone told me i was dancing with the guy she had a major crush on, but i don't know for sure.

So just because i danced once or twice with a guy she liked, she just kept calling me a slut, white trash, stupid, whore, ho, fill in the _______ expletive the whole night. She said it behind my back and loud enough for me to hear over and over again whenever i was within earshot distance of her. I told her to shut the f up a few times warning her to stop. And then when she just threw her drink at me and got it all over me i had enough.
