I suck: haven't worked out legs in 4 months
I'm an idiot. Slacked off major with my legs over the past couple months and am going now to do them for the first time in WAY too long. I've been consistent with back/chest/arms/shoulders, but lost motivation to do leg workouts and now realize how stupid I was. Anyone else go an extended period of time without working out a certain group (for whatever reason)?
Anyway, I'm doing a 5 day routine right now:
Monday- chest/abs
Tuesday- legs
Wednesday- back
Thursday- shoulders/abs
Friday- bi/tri
But since I've slacked with legs I want to start doing more with them so I can try and "catch up" by working them harder. Any suggestions for switching around my routine so that I can accommodate doing legs twice a week? Or would this not be a good idea?
Thanks for the help.

I stopped legs for like a year because they were big enough and I hated doing them. I started doing them again 2 weeks ago just in case I want to compete in the future and I figure some excess calories that would turn to fat will result in new leg muscle instead. My squat form sucks though and it's taking me a while to get used to it.

I really have no clue, I feel so stupid. But it feel's really good to finally work them out again. Long overdue, but I finally did them today and I'm happy I'm getting back on track.

OP I haven't worked out legs in like 2 months also. I have a lot less motivation for legs compared to arms and shoulders, etc.

Then you are not working your legs hard enough. They are like a second core which deplete your body very rapidly when worked. Unless you like the feeling of vomiting after your second exercise I'd go out on a limb and say your workout is skimping. And yes this is constructive criticism, which is used to better yourself.

lol , i didnt workout shoulders for a while now they are too retarded and most workouts are exhausting coz i mostly use like my arms not my shoulders ..
but u will work it out, just hit it
i love legs day its hard and u feel like u do something, i like feeling sore when i do , but dont care much if i dont, but i make sure i hit it hard that i can barely walk home after the workout
