Orgasms while training abs?!?!

Okay so seriously what can I do? Its only when I work my lower abs but its seriously getting annoying. I think I read a post on this a while ago but is there anything I can do to stop it? I have to stop two or three times while training them. I really need to work my lower abs more than I do but im always worried about working them in the gym because of this. Also any clue what would cause this? It also happens sometimes when I do heavy leg extensions..

wow never heard of that *makes google search* ill post if I find any info though ! Does it happen when your almost done with your sets or do you start to get exited during your workout? I mean have you tried different workouts to hit the lower abs ? maybe switch it up a bit

I have a problem with your thread, its making me orgasm uncontrollably. My honest opinion tho? Don't do abs at the gym and do it at home for pleasure and ab building fun. Also to add, i ahve a similar problem at the gym when working forearms (mostly the right one) with orgasming as a result, anyone help me i know its the female section.

How fast are your reps when training abs?
Do you do it slow and controlled or fast?
This may make a difference of direct stimulation. Also, have you tried one of the ab crunching machines instead? This also may help.

Seriously, my sex drive has been nonexistent while breastfeeding. I guess I'll have to wait until I wean for it to come back. My DH is still recovering from back surgery, so he's not complaining (yet!).

After. And it is toward the end like say after I have already done 12 reps (I shoot for 15). I usually stop before it happens. Like I said its mainly when im working my lower abs.

This may make a difference of direct stimulation. Also, have you tried one of the ab crunching machines instead? This also may help.

Just an FYI not all women gain a lot of fat during pregnancy. If you work out and dont eat like poo it will all come off fast. PS Girl you do look amazing!

Not really, I never had any major cravings. You really just need an extra 500 calories a day.

What was your question? About what im doing? I just do an ab routine and when I get to my lower abs I do roman chairs, flutter kicks, and crunches on the ball using a cable for weight. I also do crunches, side crunches, weighted crunches, and butt thrusts.

Your issue might be a little more serious than you think.

Google PSAS (Persistant Sexual Arousal Syndrome). It's legit, as annoying and uncomfortable as you describe, and many of the women who have it sound like the issues you're having now.

I was 1 of 3 women who appeared in a documentary done by the BBC (British Broadcasting Company) a few years ago because of this very issue. I've since been able to triumph over this and get on with my life. Needless to say, though, its a lot harder to deal with than most would think.

Just know that you aren't alone and there are support groups (on and offline) for this very thing.

Thanks girl! Thats good to know. I will look into it more. Is there treatment or do you just learn to deal with it?

"Apparently it is unusual, because the question gave pause to Dr. Irwin Goldstein, a prominent sex researcher.

But after thinking about it, he says there could be a couple of explanations that have nothing to do with a hot guy on the mat next to you.

For one, it's possible that tight gym clothes are stimulating your clitoris as you crunch and crunch and crunch, "in the context of masturbation," says Goldstein, who is director of sexual medicine at the Alvarado Hospital in San Diego.

It depends. From my own experience, I had to overcome a lot. However, some women in the groups I participated in tried surgery, prescription drugs, and a host of other "cures".

Truthfully, it was a lot simpler than relying on someone writing me another 'scrip, ya know? I took a much more holistic approach and it worked. Unfortunately, too many were looking for a magic pill and it doesn't exist.

LOL, my daughter is 14 months old, and I'm still breastfeeding. I hope to BF until she's 2 or she self-weans (whichever comes first). It's not so much the norm in the U.S., but the WHO recommends breastfeeding until children are 2. I think that's part of the reason I'm so thin and trying to put some muscle weight on. I was thin pre-preg. (around 115 lb.) but nowhere this skinny.

I'm fairly active (cardio & weights, chasing my toddler) and eating tons but I've discovered eating more protein is doing the trick for me where gobbling chocolate, cookies, etc. did not.

I do miss my sex drive though
