As reported earlier, Sonjay Dutt has parted ways with TNA Wrestling. The two sides were trying to come to terms on a new deal, and when they couldn't, Dutt opted to leave the promotion.
As of last week, TNA was still working on plans for Dutt, so they did not expect him to leave. Also, Dutt was essentially the face of TNA in India, where iMPACT! had done very well on TV.
According to a source, Dutt has reached out to World Wrestling Entertainment, reports ProWrestling.NET. WWE has expressed some interest in signing the former X Division wrestler to a deal.
For sure- I sometimes think they get rid of one smaller guy they see as a jobber- Cabana & just replace them with another one- Dutt, because they are bored.
It is like Vince or somebody backstage gets a rise out of taking guys who have been fairly big stars elsewhere & making them look weak. Like Vince is going to push a guy who is 5 foot 8 & weighs 185 pounds not named Rey Jr, who is size freak Vince going to want to be his public face in India? Dutt, or a guy who has been on tv for 3 years & is 7 foot tall & weighs around 400 pounds?

cabana is much bigger than dutt, it wouldn't be like for like at all, colts sacking didn't have anything to do with his size imo otherwise i see alot of wwe guys going in the near future
khali is a true indian, former mr india, police officer there, whereas dutt is american born and bred with little or no actual links to the country as such that could be pushed, khali pushed himself in india when he signed for wwe

Far as Sonjay goes in the WWE, done right, I'd love it.
Imagine if they make ECW this high-flyer only show. Toss Noble on the brand with Sonjay, Bourne, Tyson Kidd and whoever else and ECW might be the show to watch. It doesn't even have to be booked -- no storylines needed -- just good wrestling is enough to get me to watch.
On the other hand, they could end up going the comedy route and making Sonjay a mini-Khali who follows him around. That would suck and would be career suicide.
Man, WWE needs to get on it with Petey Williams first and foremost IMO! Of course, he'd be given some ****ty new name and gimmick and fade away quickly...

I agree - I see ECW becoming the cruiserweight haven that Eric Bischoff envisioned for the 21st Century WCW... I'd like to see them load up on smaller guys in the draft so we don't have to see Mysterio squash guys twice his size anymore.

oh my god. That is actually awesome.
Imagine for a month Khali is overjoyed. His big brother is coming. JR hypes it up, "His BIG brother? BAH GAWD! How much bigger can he be?!?" and Rajin is like, "The world will never be the same. Once Khali and his brother are here, the face of the WWE as we know it will change forever!"
Man, JR would be freaking out every week. Taz would be like, "Well...if Khali is 7'3", 420 pounds, jeez, JR! Can you... can you imagine how big his BIG BROTHER must be? OH MAN!!"
They'll hype it up that he's as big, if not BIGGER than Khali and then the festivities begin as his brother has arrived. And Sonjay walks out and everyone is like, "::crickets::"
But then Sonjay wrestles and the arena explodes. Honestly, that would be half way decent. They could even be a tag team. It'd be good for Khali because he can't really do much anyway. And it'd be cool b/c Sonjay could do moves off of Khali's shoulders.

deal. team work is awesome. see? if it was me, i woulda just thrown sonjay onto ECW and have him wrestle Bourne, etc. Sure, it'd be awesome wrestling, but holy sh*t! Khali's big brother? That is comedy with the benefit of being able to send Sonjay to ECW without repackaging.
