    the last 10 pounds....

I weighed myself today and realized that I only need to lose 10 pounds!! (yipee!!) I was 153 1 1/2yrs ago now at 115 @ 5'1. I'm going to start a HIIT program to my regimine. I hope it works, but i'm wondering what others out there had to do to get rid of the last 10 pounds since i've heard that it is the last to come off.

You have done great with the weight loss this past year! Good for you!

I don't pay as much attention to the scale as I do to my BF percentage. As long as that stays down I am happy. My weight can fluctuate 2-4 lbs without any noticable change in my body.

Doing HIIT is great for busting thru plateaus. Sometimes it is all you need without having to change around your diet too much.
Try it for a couple of weeks and see how you do.

I hope you're not going just by weight because if you want to lose another 10 lbs that would put you at 105. That's awefully low considering leading a lifestyle that involves lifting. I am 5'2" and am at 137-138 right now. What is your frame like?

Trish B - Thank you for your kind words!

bufchk - I'm 5'1, big boned, and carry most of my weight in my lower body and abs. My goal is to reach 105 and then start bulking from there. Is that possible or should i just go ahead and cycle my training ? For example once i'm done with the hiit program which i'll do for another 4- 6 weeks, go into a bulking phase? What works best? Sorry for all the questions but i'm really starting to pay more attention to my body. I've pretty much have the nutrition part down, it's just the training that i'm still experimenting with.

    Thanks for your help,

I would say 105 is too low, my lean mass is at 115 but of course it all depends on bodyfat and lean mass ratio. If you really are large framed I'd just work on increasing your lean mass and dropping bodyfat if necessary. I hope this doesn't offend you but I could never imagine myself at 105. My last contest I was 121 on the day and into a size 1 and I'm medium framed. Becareful on your expectations
