Awake for 12-13 hours , sleeping 11 hours = bad?

Is this bad for your body? I wake up around 12 PM - 2 PM then go to sleep around 1-3 AM....is this bad for your body to be awake for such short time?

I haven't noticed any weightloss or anything, I have gained alot of body weight and more expected since I just started creatine.

It's fine for now, but you'll be screwed when you have to go to school.

and what i've heard is 7-9 is the ideal amount of sleep to get, and going to bed before 11 pm and getting 7 hours of sleep is better than going to bed at 3 am and getting 10 hours of sleep.

Each sleep cycle is 90 minutes, and your body should automatically wake you up after 5-6 sleep cycles (If I remember correctly). If you sleep longer, you've probably been depriving yourself of sleep for a long time, and your body's trying to recover.

I think it's best to sleep 7-9 hours, and if you still feel tired during the day, take a ~30 minute nap around 3:00-5:00 P.M. Don't make that nap any longer because you don't want to go into Stages 3 or 4 of your sleep cycle.

    (Thank you AP Psychology)

Edit: That weight gain is definitely just water weight from the creatine. I doubt the sleep has anything to do with it, since your body still uses energy when sleeping; sometimes, even more than when you're awake.

I get ~6-7 hours of sleep a night on weeknights, ~8 hours on Friday night, and ~12 hours on Saturday night, + a one hour nap sometime in the week. Hopefully it all balances out to something somewhat healthy.

When I'm off from school I usually sleep around 10-12 hours also... I can't wake up by my own, I mean, without an alarm clock before those 10-12 hours of sleep.

Yeah definitely, aim for 8-9. Sleep is mainly just for your brain to recover from the day; you don't need more than 9 hours.

Either cause you wake up in the middle of sleep cycle 3 or 4.
or your body keeps releasing melatonin and gets u tired or something

or something else. i forgot haha

That's perfect. People usually fall asleep within 15-20 minutes. So you get in 6 sleep cycles, and wake up.
GO to bed at 1:40. so u wake up in cycle 1 and not the end of 4. or ull be all grumpy and ****
