ok, ladies, i'm sure we've all been there. i'm wondering if all the whole grain + veggie fiber is messing up my insides a bit. i've been having to, you know, #2 a lot...in large amounts.
it's usually in the morning, and i'm wondering if this is negating any of the nutrients i've just taken in with breakfast.
is this just my body adjusting to the increased amount of fiber? i've been eating a lot of kale, broccoli, shredded wheat, bulgur. if it's green and leafy...you get the idea.
sorry if this is awful and horrifying!

Ha ha, I've been there. Regular poos are good, and your body should adjust as long as your drinking lots of water. You dont evacuate what you've just eaten in the morning when you go, its most of yesterdays waste. Dont worry about it!
Only worry about odd colours (like if its white or has blood in it) or really really bad smells. If the fun ever stopped... You'd die...!

I had the same question a while back! Turns out, a healthy colon will "churn" your waste out after each major meal. (3x a day)
I'm no where near that. However, I've noticed that with an increase in clean eating and a lot more focus on getting enough fiber and whole foods, I'm hanging out with my favorite magazine in the ladies room a lot more than I use to.
Sure, its not a topic we're prone to discussing, but I think its a testament to this forum that you can ask!

Extra fiber will defiantly make you go more but as long as it isn't painful or soupy your ok. Most people have problems with constipation when starting a new diet. Try eating some yogurt once every few days which will help with intestinal health or peppermint if you want to binge a little, both of which help with digestion and tract health.
