Be aware I have been only been working lower body, and pull ups/dips for upper while running a ton and dieting down for the past couple of months.
So I'm not very big right now but that is not my goal right now, my goal right now is to throw a baseball as hard as possible.
As I said I'm not bodybuilding right now, my only goal is to throw a baseball as hard as possible. Just posting pics because a couple of people requested it.
Edit: Which= Pull ups, dips, a few squats, low cal diet, and 30+ miles of running every week. Which= my current look.
And no hamstring work, as they are not helping me run faster, or throw harder. +I get a lot of hamstring work when I run up the hill, (see my log)

That's cool! But you said you were working lower body so... where did the hamstring work go?

If you're goal is to throw a baseball as fast as possible, what are you doing posting pictures on a bodybuilding website?

Sup brah? I have been meaning to ask you where you got your beef and such from and since we live close I figured i'd ask. If you could give me the info that would be great, because i've been looking for a place to buy in bulk.

wut? Your hamstring is one of the key muscles in hip extension, along with your adductors and glutes they're absolutely essential to maximum spring speed.
FWIW, the reason I was suggesting split stance lifting is because of the astronomical benefits you get in hip rotation from working them. I can't believe how much harder I hit since I started paying more attention to my adductors. Interesting note -- they also act as hip flexors in certain positions, which is why they're so important for rotational movements.

I for my current squat work out I do 3 sets of 3 reps for which I do a different stance each set.

For me personally at least no.
When I was lifting all out I did hamstrings to, but when I lifted them they always felt tight, (even with a lot of stretching) and I always felt slower due to the tightness.
Now when I don't lift for them, I feel much more natural and most definitely run faster. Also my hamstrings are still being hit some from dead lifts.
And from running as I do some very hard hills on my runs.
They are certainly strong enough for what I need them for.

Sounds good that you're varying stances, but it sounds like too much variation at once. But, ****, if you're seeing gains in performance I can't argue with that. Might even try it for a few weeks actually haha.
Ever do GHR? What does your recovery work look like? The tightness you had in your hams probably wasn't shortening due to lifting but probably scar tissue/muscular lesions that build up after lots of microtrauma and hypertrophy.

Here's a quick vid:
Quality is rather crap as I was using my camera as a vid camera, also sorry for the cuts I was trying to put in transitions but I couldn't figure out how to on this computer using ****y video software.
look ripped to shreds
but your focusing on baseball so arent you suppose to be a little fat, to get momentum etc.
How does fat help with momentum? Unaware?
Maybe for a power lifter bouncing a bar of their chest. But I would think not for throwing a baseball. It'd be the same as say a boxer trying to punch as fast as possible IE: ripped as possible.
Idk I could be wrong. Some one please enlighten me on this.
all the baseball players i know are larger than average
but by being 300lbs whether its fat or not, you can get alot of momentum into the pitch when you plant your front foot?

Whatever you choose to do man hope it works out. Though alot of the MLB players are much bigger in size at your height, just sayin. I would work on building a little more mass. But I am not you. Use what works I always say.
