I need some help and motivation!!!
Okay here it goes....
Since November I have fallen off my strict eating and workout regimes and have ballooned up to 148lbs...ugh, just saying it makes me quiver. No, I'm not pregnant either...just going thru a divorce. I have been eating garbage during the holidays and have been going through a tremendous amount of stress at home and work(this economy is horrible!)and have also started class this semester. So whatever I have a alot on my plate but the point is I've gained so much weight and feel like ****. I keep saying I'm gonna start a new diet/workout regime but it never happens. Now I feel like I don't even know where to start. Does anyone have any good lean out/fat burning diet plans that could give me a boost? Should I concentrate on HIIT cardio for fat burning or continue to lift weights 3-4 days week? How many calories should I be consuming? My diet is the biggest problem right now because I don't have a plan of attack! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I need to fit into my size 26 jeans by the summer!

hi...
hi...by all means im no expert as ive only been bodybuilding for amonth now. My advice to u, would be...tell urself a definite date on when u r going to begin this routine and let nothing stop u, once u have started the ball is rolling. Have an image in ur mind on how u wish to look, look up pics on the net..etc..then just do it. Eat healthily, carbs, protein, vits etc...and just go for it. It'll be hard at first but once you are in the toutine it'll happen like clockwork.I work out 4 times a week, i do cardio 2 of those days, about 45 mins each day...Ihope this can help in some way....Good Luck

Thanks!
I think what I really need is support and motivation...and someone to give me that little push. I just get so frustrated because I get all psyched for about 3 days and eat well and workout hard...then I mess up with eating junk and not working out for about 2 days...then start up again...its just a vicious cycle and I hate it!!! I need to find that thing inside that drives me and just do it!

I'm in that same place...I was so strict with my eating and working out and now I just have no motivation..not eating junk, but just sick of weighing and measuring and counting, so my portions are way too big.
My plan is going to be to just start making small changes with the diet to get back on track. Every time I try something drastic to overhaul it, I'll stick with it for a few days and then binge. I'm not going to try to slash too many calories at first...just eat healthier and watch portions!

Well summer is right around the corner so the best time to start would be yesterday!! Stick to a solid 1700 calories for fat loss...this is what you need based on your stats. I would use a macro breakdown of 45p/30c/25f this will get you moving in the right direction. Have your food ready to go. I find if people plan ahead of time, there's never a question about what they're going to eat that day. Pack a cooler and take it with you everywhere you go...it will make your life easier and you'll stick to your plan.
I think most people use fitday.com to track there numbers...this will keep you accountable for everything you're putting in your mouth.
As for training stick to the weights and throw in a combination of HIIT and steady state cardio 4x a week 30-35 min should be good.
The key it to get your eating plan down 1st. Everything else just falls into place.
Good luck!!

SIZE 26 JEANS?I'd start with the classic 40-40-20 macros for weight loss. As for the junk food. you cant eat it if its not in the kitchen cabinet. get a digitial scale if you dont have one.
here is what the above diet will look like for you for every meal.
85g of cooked chicken
16oz of skim milk and 20g of olive oil
a banana
also, look into interval training. pm me if you have questions

think of it like this, it takes 23 days to develop a habbit, and 23 das to break a habbit.
im still in the process of this 23 days but if you have the right mindset and these "23 days" you should be on our way. So your habbit would developed would be to eat well, and the habbit you break is eating like ****. =]

Give yourself some credit!
Hey MAMAS, give yourself some credit. I checked out your progress pics and you're definitely going in the right direction from what I can see. The pics are pretty small so it's hard to tell but #1 you're looking good. #2 You stated that you're under a lot of stress so don't know if you're drinking but definitely stay away from that. #3 If you get cravings most likely it's 'cause you're leaving out some aspect of your diet like fresh fruits and veggies maybe if you're craving sweets (that's what does it for me). A balanced diet will often reduce those cravings. #4 Check out the articles on here. There are a lot of good articles on here for example: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/10_fitness_mistakes.htm
I'm not any kind of a professional trainer, just kind of self-educated so do your own research is my suggestion.
Good luck!

I know that taking Zinc as a supplement has helped me with my cravings. Also, you are going through a hell of an emotional time. Don't beat yourself up for slipping now and then. Just pick yourself up and carry on. Guilt can break you down faster than any junk food ever will, and we are our own worst critics, so who better to put us on a guilt trip than ourselves? You are strong, otherwise you never would have made it this far. Just try and remember why you started it all in the first place. I'm holding thumbs for you!
