Also, would it be ok for her to put a little whey in her diet? Also what about green shakes? The Alive brand is what we have at our house.

It depends on a lot of things: my sister in law has gestational diabetes and was put on a low carb diet. She gained 18 lbs during the pregnancy- had a healthy 8lb boy 4+ years ago and lost her pregnant weight in about a month.

She doesnt have diabetes or any other health problems that I know of. Her last baby was born premie and only 2 lbs so I just want to give her the best nutritional plan I know from my years of experience from eating clean.

um, you might want to consult a dietitian for a PREGNANT WOMAN. At least I would, moreso than the nutrition section of BB.com
by the way, that doesnt look like much food

3) the Nutrition and Losing Fat section have a lot of problems. Paralysis by Analysis. Get back to the BASICS.

Please talk to her physician- she should be having prenatal care.
Yes, there are foods that should be avoided during pregnancy.
Prenatal vitamins are strongly recommended.
A varied diet with lots of fat and protein from all sources is a good idea.

Let me add to the chorus by saying please talk to her doctor. This is NOT the place for this information.

She should eat babies. That way the baby inside turns into a super baby, with the power of hundreds of normal babies.....
......you should really talk to a doctor or read a baby book.
