Well I've been playing Cornerback since 8th grade (now a freshman in HS). And I've been running routes and practicing wide receiver, and I gotta admit it suits me a lot better than any D-Back position does. I'm trying to put on weight (im not the smallest, but im also not the largest receiver on the team) so I can kinda beef up for the next season (7 months from now).
So do you guys have any Tips, Workouts, Lifts, or Advice that can help me?
Also, if you have any solo drills I can do by myself to help footwork that would help too. But I will probably need an agility ladder.

Man I wouldn't worry about putting on weight for a position that requires speed. But if you want my advice I would say do some bench press (6-10 reps) military press (6-12 reps) and some seated rows(10-15 reps). Those are my 3 favs and every once in a while i'll do some leg weights (15-20 reps) for some endurance. I gained around 5 lbs of muscle doing this stuff for a few months.
Plus you can play on both sides of the ball ( defense and offence). That's what I did.

Mike,
If you want to increase your speed and if you are not playing baseball at your high school you should run track. The speed workouts should really help out your quickness and overall speed and the endurance workouts will help you come summer two a day practices.
I know when I was in high school (graduated in 1998) it was a requirement that if you didn't play a spring sport, you were running track. It really help me get faster as well as stronger.Take it all one day at a time!

Track in high school for me actually made me slower lol. They didn't give me near enough rest, just terrible in-season training routine. I'm not saying it is like that at your school, it will probably help you, especially being so young.
Also, at 5 foot 9, 125 pounds...yeah, you better bulk up, you can definitely get faster bulking up too.

^^
do this.
-you need that explosiveness to get off the ball.
-need some power in your chest and arms to be able to sustain blocks
-need a good vertical
-need a strong core
those exercises will workout the muscles you need for that. and eat plenty and healthy.
its off season so run ALOT, football is all about endurance. your workouts dont be doing 3 sets of 4reps. you need endurance so MANY more reps in each set.
and do get that ladder and improve on your footwork. next time before you workout check out some nike sparq videos on youtube and you'll be pumped
