Cutting out caffeine

I'm doing this teeth whitening thing for 10 days so I'm not drinking coffee for that period. Today is day 1 and I have a headache and have honestly barely had any energy all day. I just feel like laying in bed. I feel like laying down right now haha.

Oh I have had about 4 cups of green tea which has a bit of caffeine in. I really don't like energy drinks.

Does this get any better? I guess my body is just not used to using its own energy. When will I start to feel better, or will I feel like this for the whole time?

I feel ya!
I LOVE coffee/caffiene. Any kind! Any variation!
Especially a nice dark roast with cream and honey (which i cant have so i just have it black)
sugar free redbulls, fat burners. I have a very high tolerance for caffiene because i've used it for so long.
When i try to cut back, i do it slowly. And i don't get the bad side-effects like headaches or "withdrawl" like symptoms. I thik the reason why you are feeling so crappy is because you came off it so quick!!

When your teeth whitening is over i suggest scaling your coffee intake back a bit. Drink a cup or two of coffee in the morning and for the rest of the day drink green tea and water! That's what i have been doing and i feel much better - and the green tea makes me feel great!!!
I also loved iced green teas from starbucks -no suagr- just cold tea!! yum! maybe some stevia
Your body will give you back your own energy soon

I've read that for sustained energy it's a good idea with caffeine to have a little bit throughout the day...rather than having the big cup in the morning. (Sort of common sense, I guess.) It's great that you're taking a break from the stuff....but if you really can't deal with the cold turkey, caffeine does come in pill form too.
