Hey guys,
I'm a sprint kayaker (for those unaware, it's like this)
We do fitness testing called "Fitdex", where you do Pullups, Bench Press, and Bench Pull for 2 minutes each. The weight used for Bench Press and Bench Pull is half your bodyweight, so that will be ~92.5-95lbs (43kg) for me. Pullups you are allowed to touch the floor, but if you rack the weight in Bench Press or Pull, you're done.
I'm basically trying to strategize how to get the highest reps possible.
This comes down to pacing, and which order to do the exercises in. I find that on bench pull my grip goes before my back, so I'd consider doing that first, but then my grip will be shot for bench press. I'd imagine that doing either pullups or bench pull first, then bench press, then the other one would be the best order.
Does anyone have any input on that? Another thing is timing. Should I pace myself to be able to constantly rep for the whole 2 minutes? Or come out swinging, and if I run out of steam, so be it.
I feel like I just rambled a lot, but hopefully someone can help.
Thanks
