    Best Anatomy book for trainers?

I have been looking on Amazon and google but I was wondering if there was a specific book that some of you gurus refer to. I am studying to be a pt and am finding I sound like an idiot explaing the body positions, benefits of certain specific movements/exercises, etc without knowing training specific anatomy...it is so dry to study out of a regular anatomy text. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

All of the body parts, muscles, and bones should be included in your study guide. You could always go to the nearest library and check out a book to help define the anatomy better.

I just had a thought.... Kians's body sculpting book is also a good training guide. Maybe check out ebay. Probably get a good book for hardly nothing.

Just a side note, if there is say a 2003 ish edition that is alot cheaper than a 2008 edition, go for the older one. Human anatomy hasn't changed in 5 years.

You should go get Gray Cook's 'Athletic Body in Balance' - Great for what you said, explaining different body positions and benefits of different movements -

    http://www.amazon.com/Athletic-Body-...5360741&sr=1-1

It's pretty cheap on amazon -

i 2nd that....i got this book via a friend who went to massage school, and this book goes into detail of each section of the entire body, gives easy reading to the beginner, and makes it easier, imo, to pick up on all the different terms people use for explaining the body...i have been reading this along with my PT manual.
