without a doubt your form is suffering if you're not making progress at that low of a weight

leave your ego at the door and put 135 on the bar and just do slow, controlled reps until you have it down

    This.

My upper-body was a good bit stronger than my lower-body until last year (265 bench, 245 squat back in March). Honestly, man.. You just gotta do them. Get under the bar and Squat.

I really didn't see great gains until I worked on my form. At home, without weight, do body-weight squats and try to get as low as possible. Do like sets of 20 or until you feel like you had a good stretch. And of course, make sure to stretch hamstrings and hipflexors.

By the way, if you can manage to go ATG.. don't skimp out.

I find that the best way to improve at squats is to put weight on the bar.

Shadow I had the same problem as you did. Start stretching and you will loosen up the leg muscles. Once I did this my squat weight started to climb.
