Cop's traditionally wear uniforms of calming colors - blue, greys, etc.
Some cops may be brain****ed by the job, violence, mental stress, etc, and perhaps become a little insane. (you see this in all sorts of movie plots, good guy vs. bad guy, etc, etc)
Now, when these cops work together, they mentally see and process the blue uniforms as a part of their memories and experiences.
But what if, kind of like video games and back like the civil war, police uniforms were bright red

and their thoughts and mental VISUAL memories of the past were now polluted with the violence and blood and bright brilliant sparks of fire and flesh grenades, and instead of specs of soothing blue here and there, it is instead replaced with this LUCIOUS RED!!!
If for whatever reason, our police force were to change to red oriented uniforms over night, perhaps just for some odd media grabbing attention tact to re-invent the police-civilian humbleness and love. Remember in the movies, the cops and sheriffs were always the good guys? What happened to the time when our cops rode around on a horse with a bright and LARGE badge attached to their heart and the cowboy hat. (yes, I'm from the West)
Anyways, what if the uniforms changed and they were now red - as of today - February 2009. How long form that moment would it take until we really became a locked down and totally unfree nation? (Demolition Man)
It would inevitably happen. Would it not? What if some higher up general or commander once happens upon the fact that at his command, and he can instantly turn the entire US defense system to his command? I bet there is a guy or group that has that power. When it boils down to it, the troops, police, swat, etc, do not likely report directly to Mister Barrack Obama, do they? They report to chiefs and people of the like. And in any Hierarchy, there is always the man or position above all. He has the power.
The power of red?
Discuss.
