King Kamali 2009 Off-Season.. 296 lbs.

These pictures were taken last night. I am just about 300 pounds and still maintaining hardness. It's not easy to pack on the mass without getting too fat but I am going strong. The magic powder has done wonders for me and so has machine like percision with my eating and training. I will clean up my diet a bit more for the next few weeks to get more seperation and hardness to the overall physique. More to come...

not sure your physique is going the right way though, you had a better look when you first turned pro, I just cant see you placing well with the new mandate on waistlines. I suggest your taper needs to improve but props for being in reasonable shape at that weight.......slight exaggeration I feel 296? If iwas a pro I would claim a small bodyweight can you imagine if you posted those pics and said you were 220? People would be all over you saying u r huge just a thought

Sorry to say but arms need work. Not sure what the situation is(any damage or anything) but, they just look odd, the bi's look tiny compared to your tri's. The upper body besides that looks good, however your lower body overpowers the upper.

nah thats the internal organs that have grown as a direct effect of HGH pushing his abdominal wall out. Remember how Ronnie would be like 40lbs overweight in the offseason and you can still see his ab lines?

I have noticed one of your most admirable features as a pro over the years is your drive and constant motivation to keep hitting the stage and competing.

Alot of pros seem to have a harder time going back on stage if they have disappointing results at a show or two, nothing seems to hold you down.

osamaelias: Not wow yet.. This is my off-season and that's about as good one can get while still eating junk and slamming the carbs..


samsbolton: Again, this is my off-season and I'm suppose to look like this if not worse. As a matter of fact I would recommend to all the young iron warriors out there to get big and fat in the off-season.. Your body will respond better when the cutting begins. As far as my weight goes I weigh myself on the gym scale first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and the sace said yesterday 296. You can come to my gym anytime and take a look for yourself. So GH isn't converted into IGF-1 causing increase in internal organ size? I know this is 1 reason why we see the gut in many of todays bodybuilders... IGF-1 directly stimulates the growth of many things and that includes organs. Not to mention the direct injections of IGF-1 itself probably aren't helping the matter.

Hey King,

Do you do anything special in your posing to accent your biceps better since I notice you have the same attachment far from the elbow that I do.

It can work for you and against you depending on the pose since you can tend to have a good peak but in a back double it might not look as good if you flex too hard as it makes the biceps look smaller than the triceps. Maybe if your arms were a little more vertical from the elbow, it would look longer, not quite as peaky but more balanced, it would be awesome if you posted a pic with that pose to compare, and see what the people think. (I know we're not the judges though)

BTW, my signature is no offense to you, you've really done amazing things with your body but I just prefer the look of a bit longer biceps, I think it's a matter of wanting what you don't have.

Well the obvoius and correct answer is no and you can be rest assure that they all hammered Growth Hormone. Gh is not the cause of the guts.


mark118: Drop sets and more drop sets. Try to get as much blood into the muslces as possible. FST-7 is a great way to shock the muscle.


djaziz: No.. nothing special. It's a give and take for biceps. Some like the long look (ala Kevin Leverone) and some like the peak (Robbie Robinson). Personally I like the challenge and it has made me a better bodybuilder as a direct result of it.

The sheer weight of muscle in his upper body must be outstanding too. He has abbs AND vascularity at 300 pounds. Sure he is not contest cut, but his bodyfat% is still very low by any medical definition. Right?

SO you have all that weight of upper body, that has to be supported the muscle in his waist to regularly help move his body around. Think about it. You turn to around, you stand up, sit down, bend pull and push in everyday activities, even out of the gym. When he does this, those muscle in his waist are being provided stimulus for growth. That is simple.

When he is lifting heavy a$$ weights, even with a belt on, that abdominal wall is doing support for him too. Again, it is getting worked. Now what happens to biceps when they are worked properly? Well the bulge outward. So do deltoids, triceps, calves etc...

The external oblique, internal oblique, and the transversus abdominis all ALL have the capacity for growth when your body is in an anabolic state, and you are regularly working those muscles with heavy weight. When King ties his shoelaces he is working all of those groups, and with heavy weight, because he is a heavy friggen weight. Technically "superheavy".

rdouble79: I don't see it as complaining, rather observing. I am very strong and that has been a curse when it comes to maintaining a streamline physique. When I start my cutting I will also decrease the weight and that in conjunction with mane other factors will bring my symmetry out. When the carbs. come out so does the belly.. Trust me.

Very Very True! I have finally set a goal for myself of becoming a Fire Fighter/Paramedic here in FL. I am in EMT now and will be doing Fire Academy in August. It is deffinately great to have access to all the information from the Pros like yourself!
