LOL yea notice how he still had to throw the ball 10 more times. Like said good job Tom you have Manning edged out by a bit in the playoff's in overall stats and Manning has you crushed in the regular season stats.

    LOL
did i say season or all time record? thought so chump.

and am i supposed to be impressed? nope im not, because unlike you and many i understand how the nfl has changed. its like in baseball, years ago 25 hr 100 rbi and .300 was considered elite, now in the roid day, its all about 60-70 hrs, 160 rbi and .370 BA.

bradys td total is in fact the highest, but other qbs seasons have been more impressive, 84 marino, 95,96 favre to name some.

as a matter of fact, the longer the nfl continues to cater the passing game, the better it makes guys like marino and favre look.

    since the early 00's, the nfl has focused more on passing and offense, the biggest difference being illegal contact. the proof that its only helping qbs and offenses is that all these records are being broken;

    A. marinos td record stood for 20 years, the same year illegal contact rule came into play, it was broken. coincidence?

    B. just 2 seasons later, the td record was once again broken. coincidence?

    C. in 2004 (illegal contact rule), daunte culpepper, yes you heard that right, culpepper was on pace to break marinos td AND yardage record before guess who.... moss went down. coincidence?

    D. drew brees of all people joins marino in the 5k club in a pass happy nfl. not even the greats like favre, moon, fouts, kelly could do it.

    E. not to mention all these sky high qb ratings.

i bring up all time td total which is much more difficult to do than one season, because all time shows how good you really were, rather than one season with moss which makes you look better than you really are....

    take it like this. favre in a tougher passing and overall better era;

in 95, his wrs were brooks, a. morgan and the packers averaged 3.5 ypc. keep in mind favre didnt have the sissy pass happy rules. what did he do? threw 4413 yrds, 38 (3rd most all time at the time) and a career low 13 ints.

brady had something similar, i think his numbers were something like 3,500 yrds, 24/12

brady needs the best line in the business, 2 top 10 players on O, and all the pass rules in his favore to even have a season worthwhile to one of favres with a below averge offense? thats the real LOL jkeith....

on noes brady has 50 favre only 39... ask me if im impressed.......
    and that’s the bottom line

Barely. I think the Mississippi Gunslinger is like 13-11 in the playoffs.

Still better than Peyton's sub-.500 postseason record, but both records look awful when put next to Brady's.

The Pats D only gave up 17 points... how could you possible blame their defense for that loss? Tom and his offensive line sucked it up.

until manning LEADS his team to a superbowl he s really out of the discusion. im sorry but in 2006 he had more ints than td's. the guy has been shut out in the playoffs n held to 3.

brady threw for 3 td's in 2 of his superbowl wins. has never choked. lastyear he drove the team down the field to get the go ahead td.

if roethlisberger cud win another or keep his level of winningness and play up he cud be considered up their with manning and possibly brady. hell roethisberger finds a way to win, peyton doesnt fact.

    Dude, that is something!
favre has 6 20+ int seasons in 17 seasons of play, marino has 4 in the same amount of seasons, he also had a number of seasons where he missed time.

in 87, he played in 12 games, had 13 ints, if he woulda started every game that year, a chance at 20+

in 95, he played 14 games, threw 15, a possible chance at 20 if he played the 2 games he missed...

in 99, he played 11 games and threw 17 ints, easily woulda went 20+ if he plays the whole season.

what does that say about the greatest pocket passer of all time int machine perhaps? inaccurate?

like most people know, durability and longevity contribute to all records, including ints. marino was only like 23 ints from the all time record when he retired and he was nowhere near as durable as favre.

just like how favre got a pro bowl selection this year for having an attociously bad td-int rating, each award is largely a popularity contest
pb's are more popularity than mvp awards. besides favre was snubbed for the pb in 94, and 04, so it evens out.

A QB with the record for interceptions is exempt from being considered better than Brady, sorry brah
lol c'mon. if brady is better than favre then so is bradshaw, aikman, and namath. favres career is one of the most impressive out there, bradys is not. thats like me saying a qb with as many below 30 td seasons as brady is exempt from being better than favre.....

favres career is one of the most impressive out there, bradys is not. thats like me saying a qb with as many below 30 td seasons as brady is exempt from being better than favre.....
Actually, Favre's prime years are impressive but his career as a whole is fairly average.

When has Brady ever had a bad season, in his entire career?

brady threw for 3 td's in 2 of his superbowl wins. has never choked. lastyear he drove the team down the field to get the go ahead td.

if roethlisberger cud win another or keep his level of winningness and play up he cud be considered up their with manning and possibly brady. hell roethisberger finds a way to win, peyton doesnt fact.
Brady has never lead his team to a super bowl.

    2001 PPG

    Passing: 7th
    Defense: 2nd

    2003 PPG

    Passing: 6th
    Defense: 4th

    2004 PPG

    Passing: 2nd
    Defense: 2nd

One year he tied with his defense for leading his team to a super bowl the other two super bowl years his defense lead him there. In 2006 when Manning won

    2006 PPG

    Passing: 3rd
    Defense: 2nd

Manning lead his team to that super bowl more so than Brady did in two of his years.

how is favres career "fairly average?"

because he fell back down to earth after being ridiculously off the charts in his prime, or because his play dwindled as age caught up to him?

no qb has ever won 3 straight ap mvp awards, thrown 30+ tds in a season 8 different times, led the league in tds 5 different seasons or started 270 straight games at the most important position taking all the hits and playing through the injuries. thats just a few. also all the records he has achieved (some not good).. everybody says he played "forever", but he broke the records in his 16th playing season at 37/38 years of age.
    and that’s the bottom line

    Favre 7 seasons: 61.8%, 3829 yards, 30.4 TD's, 16.5 INT's, 89.1 QB rating
    Brady 7 seasons: 62.9%, 3766 yards, 28.1 TD's, 12.2 INT's, 92.5 QB rating

Of course Brady's stats look inflated as well since his last season when he had debatebly the best receiver in the NFL that boosted his stats quite a bit. Favre never had anybody near the caliber of Moss even with that last year inlcluded in his prime Favre put up some pretty comprable #'s to Brady. Here's Brady's # without 2007 included

    61.9%, 3593 yards, 24.5 TD's, 13 INT's, 88.4 QB rating

As you can see Brady without the Moss/Welker combo his stats fall off A LOT. Without that year he has Favre beat by .1% comp, he has 236 less yards, 5.9 less TD's, 3.5 less INT's, .7 worse QB rating.

LMAO ok and then Favre has better receivers taking out the only season Brady has ever had a quality offense around him so when does the cycle end?

Sick Stang u got all the numbers dont you? You little stat geek, go apply for a job at elias sports. How can you blindly throw out there that if you put Manning on the Pats he'd do better? *cue up mister rogers make believe*

Lets face it, they are the two best Quarterbacks of the last 15 years but Brady is the better WINNER

I've gotta say, Brady may walk away the most DECORATED quarterback in history, that's for sure... one more ring, combined with the fact that he had Marino-esque stats last season... nobody's done that before.

Peyton-nut huggers are impossible to argue with. They know Brady is far more successful so they'll shout and scream everytime his name is mentioned. Sore losers are always going to be sore losers
