Has anyone read anything on Volumetrics?

Basically, eat large amounts of healthy, water-rich foods with low calories, instead of foods with dense calories (especially processed foods) .

I have to feed 2 rather skinny and active kids and a normal weight Hubby as well as myself. I do not want to make 2 meals. Perhaps I should make lunch my largest meal of the day.

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Looks interesting . . . I have to say though, from what I've read so far, it looks like the gist is just avoiding crappy foods. Which is pretty basic . . . o_0

The adding-vegetables-to-everything idea is pretty cool (although - gah, my dad does that with onions and garlic . . . he even puts them in mac n cheese . . . ugh! >_<).

I read up on some of the recipes, and it looks like protein - meat in particular - is kind of discouraged, which is a strike against the program in my book. I dunno though, I've never been much of a fad diet aficionado to begin with. Focus on protein and fuse the two, mebbe? Hmm.

I've been eating the volumetrics way for while now, it was especially good when I cut my cals back for 2 months, I was full all the time, but I kinda want to get away from that kind of eating, I don't want to stretch my stomach anymore then I already have and be hungry when I eat cal dense foods. It's very good for weight loss though, I love the theory and love showing people how much they can eat for so little cals. I actually bought the Volumetrics Weight Control Plan book last week but I haven't read it yet.
