Well I started this weight loss journey 5 weeks ago on Jan 1st, and lost 10-15 lbs on a 40-40-20 style diet, and now I'm looking to take it to the next level and go full blast into keto. I've already seen progress from dieting and now I'm full blown addicted and dedicated.
I understand I will have to change my lifting days/techniques so I will deplete last day of week, still reading stickys.
Fatty foods I bought yesterday were, Mayonnaise, salad dressing, cheese, olive oil, natty peanut butter, walnuts, bacon, butter, chicken, fish, beef, salami, eggs, ect. Plus lots of romaine lettuce, spinach, broccoli, cucumber, and celery.
Yesterday was my first day and it went by great, no cravings for carbs yet. I felt full the entire day and the food tasted great. I finished up my last regular style workout which was back and front squats and will start the keto routine Monday I guess.
I take it no carb up until not next friday but the friday after than.
I'm prob going to start a log in the log section. Any advice from anyone is welcome. Just thought I'd introduce my self to the forum.
later.

I could but I wouldn't take any advice from me seeing how I am a noob at this. Your best bet is to find diets from members who have been doing this for awhile.
I'm trying to stick to a 65-30-5 % diet while eating 500 under maintenance. My diet consists of most of the foods I listed on the first post in this thread. I use fitday to calculate my percentages.
Hah yeah, I'm making sure I'm still eating 1 gram of protein per pound of lean mass. but it does seem a lot of my fats must come from the first few to hit 65%Last edited by kylube; 02-08-2009 at 09:06 PM.
