Started dieting and exercising at 6'1, 275 lbs - End of June 2008
Currently 6'1 @ 205%, floating at, or just under 20% BF. Was recommended to eat around 3300 calories for maintenance, but that was a little suspect to me, so I aim for 2500 +/- 100 per day.
Started yesterday and currently have 2 logs:

hey
if you have time, could you tell me a little bit about your diet and exercise that led you from 275 down to 208. Were you doing keto then?
Best of luck...good work. This weight does not define me....

Well when I started back in the summer I wasn't really looking like someone who was 275, I hid my weight well and still was athletic, it was when I saw the scale hit 275 the lightbulb clicked on. Most of my weight loss was strictly dietary at first. I wasn't knowledgeable back then about healthy dieting and I though eating dietary fats was unhealthy so I ate near to none of them. Looking back, I think it was just mostly the calorie deficit that helped (Ate around 2000/day). I think it was within 2 months I had already dropped 30lbs (Unhealthy, I know, but I think it was because I was carrying a ton of water). I slowly started to add running into my routine while the weather was still nice and what not. In September when school started again I started going to the gym again. I had worked out all the previous year of school but saw nearly no gains because I ate like trash.
Fast forward, straightened out my diet, but started to stall up around 210 or so and here I am giving keto a try.
Will do! Woke up today and the scale was at 203.5, lowest I can ever remember seeing it.

Thanks for the response buddy. I had the same issue where at 6'3 275lbs with an atheltic frame I was still hiding the weight and other people really could not tell that things were getting out of control for me. Unfortunately, I put on that extra 25lbs to reach the big Three double zero!!
I am on my way back down now - will keep checking in on you!!
Good luck...fu*k, what i would give to be 210 tomorrow...later bro.
oh and my name is phil too - phillip w/ 2 "L's"This weight does not define me....

Keepin it goin. Been nearly a week and the ketostix are still showing negative, any advice? I'm not worried about the results too much as I am losing weight and already look better in this week, but the positive result would be nice If anyone actually reads this anymore feedback is appreciated.
Also, got my school work incheck, back to the weights this week.
Here's todays eating:

Hi dude,
I would ditch that low fat mayo and use regular stuff, generally low fat foods contain more carbs. Other than that I guess it's mostly down to your training and depleting glycogen stores.
I personally like to eat a very clean Keto diet. I mostly eat lean meat then i'll add in fats from flaxseed oil, olive oil, fish/fish oil and nuts to make up the numbers.
Best of luck with everything.Train hard and heavy, nail your diet, get plenty of rest.
