Consider this about the greasing between rounds 1 and 2

Okay, so I've read a lot of the arguements and have respect for both fighters, but something is being overlooked here. Apparently Nurse and Jackson were caught greasing GSP heading into the second round. Well if this was the case, why the hell would Jackson tell GSP to "take a round and Kickbox with him"? So you put grease on GSP's back to get an advantage on the ground, yet you tell you fighter to stay standing? It just doesn't make sense. Yes this was said to GSP, it was heard on the PPV and Rogan made a comment about how dumb that was.

It had nothing to do with GSP IMO. It was his cornerman and the grease was wiped off. Re-watch the fights and you see the commision guys come in with a towel just befor the round starts...

Vaseline isn't wiped off completely with a towel (I think), it is clogged into your pores and will be excreted with sweat.

But most of it was already wiped on GSP's face, neck, and shoulders. And it wasn't like he smeared his palm full of Vaseline and rubbed it all over his back.

ya and BJ penn coulda easily had him in a triangle every time he put his legs around his head it slipped off,

seriously take another look at the fight on youtube and see how many times bj penn had his neck with his legs and they just slipped off, obviously because of the vaseline. BJ woulda submitted him (seriously) just think about that. i was skeptical for a minute then i remembered the fight

BJ has never submitted anyone from his back during his entire career, and GSP has never been submitted while on top or submitted almost 5 years. What makes you so confident of this?

Because we all know the fight wasn't going to go to the ground no matter what if Greg told GSP to kickbox him.

it doesn't ****ing matter. everyone should let it go and stop trying to defend their favorite fighter.

bj penn got his ass kicked

gsp broke the rules

regardless if it had any impact at all on the fight does not matter it is still against the rules.

and bj still got the **** beat out of him and looked like an ass for talking so much **** about gsp being a quiter.
