Thank you.

Honestly, I wouldn't do it, at least not anything heavy. Actually, pregnancy might be the only time when one of those '3 pound weight' workouts might actually be a good thing.

And I do wish to reiterate, it is perfectly fine to weight train during pregnancy. There is no clinical evidence showing any correlation between weight training and miscarriage or other troubles during pregnancy. Quite the contrary - healthy, fit mom makes for healthy baby and can help prevent such complications as gestational diabetes.

You can (and should) continue most activities your body is used to, but not take on new ones.
You simply have to ensure that you do not get out of breath (because that decreases the oxygen going to the fetus), and ensure that you don't get overheated or dehydrated.
Also your center of balance will change, so you will have to consider exercise modifications. I'd avoid putting too much strain on your lower back and/or core, ie. no setting personal bests, and a reduced workload is usually necessary for weigh training.

I did for 8 months, just kept it light and listened to my bod. It made my labor easier, I got her out in 4 contractions because I had the endurance for pushing. Good luck.

I had been training very hard when I got pregnant, and the advice of my midwife was that I could do anything during pregnancy that I was used to doing before, as long as I didn't try anything new or do anything harder than I was used to.

I wasn't a hardcore weight lifter, but I continued lifting weights up until the day before I finally delivered (DD was over a week late). I had been lifting the same weights pre-preg. I didn't increase the amt. of weight and if they got too hard, I lowered the weight some (as PPs said, listen to your body). I believe it helped me get back into shape quickly after having my baby. I remember as my belly got bigger with the pregnancy, at least I had nice arms & legs from the weight lifting (before my ankles started swelling), and that cheered me up.

Thank you girls,
I am not pregnant yet but we are going for it, I am still taking creatine, is that ok or should i not take it any more?
What kind of work out would you recommend me or what kind of exercises should I stay away from?
Thank you.
