Cap commercial oly weight plates
Does anyone know where i can pick up "Cap commercial olympic weight plates"?
They have the "CAP" logo just like this one, EXCEPT without the "hand-grips" and it says "commercial" on the bottom.
http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...%3D2%26hl%3Den
Where these only available to "gyms" (commercial use only)?
Looking for extra grey plates to add onto a set I picked up used.
Can't seem to find this particular style anywhere.
Thanks a lot guys!

thanks, Tim.
The plates have a very smooth "machined" surface compared to your "everyday" plates.
I like them a lot!

I'm not mad, I'm Rage
from this thread someone posted a link to Weightlifters Warehouse. It looks like they have the weights you're talking about.
I won't rep back if you don't post in same thread.

Not a pleasant "first impression" on the phone with this particular company.
Rather do business with another vendor.
Any "other" suggestions?
Thanks again,

The ones pictured at Weightlifter's Warehouse that you describe are wide flanged rubber encased plates. I think those are discontinued. The closest thing now would be their OPHR rubber coated grip-hole plates which don't say Commercial on them.
Edit: Oh, I see the non-rubber ones at that store say Commercial too. But again, I don't think they have a current model that looks exactly like that.

For as much as they sell and by the description, they sound just like my deep dish Hamptons. Look into them. They go for $1 a lb.

Hey, have you ever weighed these before? Just wondering how accurate the Hamptons tend to be as I was looking at those as well. They certainly look nice.

I think this website may be able to help you. Unfortunately, it doesnt post any of the prices but it does list the contact information in the top right hand corner of the webpage. They might be able to tell you if they have any distributers in your location. Hope this information helps.

Thanks for the idea. I did call CAP directly yesterday and got half a dozen "distributors"...........but NO LUCK with any of them!
Didn't think it would be this challenging to find more plates.
Hmm, maybe I'll just switch over to those NICE looking Hamptons posted above =)

I did try to weigh them and I weighed them the next day and I got two different readings, so I dont really trust my scale at all. I'm sure they aren't lower than 44lbs.
