Incredibly lean at carb up
So, I have a question for you CKD-ers: It seems like when I'm super good on keto (95% of the time) and get to my weekend carbup, that when I begin the carb up process I a.) see more vascularity, b.) look as though I am leaner than earlier on in the week, and c.) am able to see the most definition all week...anyone experience a similar effect??? I am pretty laid back about my carb-ups, so do you think that maybe because of the calorie restriction all week, that once i reach my carb up, that my fat loss accelerates forward with the additional calories I take in on the weekends??? Like a re-feed or something??? This has always fascinated me.

Believe me when I say I'm no expert, but I'm doing keto too, so I'll tell you what I think.
So your body has gotten rid of all it's water weight, and lost some fat during the week. At carb up, the glycogen first goes back into your muscles than anywhere else. So now, your muscles are more pumped, but still with lower fat and lower water retention.
Thats what I think.

So bloated yesterday on my first carb up
I envy you.
The only idea that came up about your unique leanness during carb up is refueling process went through quicker due to depleted glycogen, but let wait for more opinions.

Many people find that on keto, they LOOK smaller and flatter than usual, as their muscles are not full of water. When they carb-up, their muscles are swollen with water and glycogen and look really good. Professional models tend to arrange for photo shoots the day after a carb-up.

Basicly because Op is perfectly lean, the carb up will only swollen her muscle's?
During my time on keto for first 3 weeks, I enjoy being low on carbs and water dripping out of my body every 30 minutes. I felt like I was 15% bf & in shape. Carb up prove me wrong (bloated)

Don't worry about it, it's just part of the process, you will get used to it.
Form my experience as time goes by the bloat post carb up has reduced.

^^This. In time your body adapts. Keeping the carbup as clean as possible will help also. You'll find over time that certain foods make the bloat worse. For me, cereals, milk, sugars, carb/fat combo foods (french fries, pizza, etc.,) refined wheat foods do it to me. But oatmeal, sweet potatoes/yams, whole grains, etc. minimize the bloat and I feel better all around.

Being lean and defined already instead of typical carb bloat your muscles are being compensated with glycogen so in your case carb up is doing the job ideally ..
mm hmm

This.
Bodybuilders use a similar (but more complicated) process to prepare for a show. A restricted carb up allows you to refill your muscles with glycogen, while not increasing water weight i.e. whats happening here.

All carbs stored in muscle hold water so water weight does go up.Take a steak and leave in sun for a few hrs(mimics the water depletion from muscle that low carb causes)it shrinks yet its still the same muscle size(protein wise).A carbup just rehydrates the muscles....a carbup after a week of depletion super hydrates muscle giving you a rounder look to the meat(pumped).
I find that the bloated look goes away after awhile of CKD'ing.Reason being is that your muscles are constantly getting less and less insulin resistant the longer you do the diet.
I also find that carbups with icecream, soda, candy doesnt really pump my muscles up compared to a day of pizza, bagels, rice and pasta.Im starting to understand that its all the fructose in sugar.
