    Question Best post weigh-in food?

    You've just starved yourself, and are very thirsty, but made your weight and now you have to wrestle or fight in 1 hour. What do you eat?

    Dextrose/water/whey by sipping SLOWLY until you compete. I forget why you shouldn't slam it though.

    If you HAD to eat a meal, possibly white rice, white pasta or something with a high gi and egg whites with water.

    You won't be able to top off your glycogen stores nor will you be fully hydrated no matter what you eat if its only an hour after weigh ins. They try to discourage dropping a lot of weight when your weigh-ins are that close to competing. Good luck.

    im guessing you wouldnt want low blood sugar in your fight, so I would eat a meal with alot of hi and complex carbohydrates.

    lol **** i have no idea all i know is most fighters just eat like 3 meals before fight...but they put back most water they lost.

    your not gonna gain 20 pounds from eating food in 1 day its mainly liquids from drying yourself out.

    I know they eat alot of fruits like banana and some fighters on the day of the fight have a big breakfast and then towards the fight a small meal....
