Hyped for this. Groza was a brilliant debut LP and the sample for this new album is fantastic (saw it a while back on the NWN! forum). Was listening to Groza today actually.
Don't actually think Mgla has any poor material to be fair.
Apparently it's pronounced 'mg-wah', in case you were wondering (which you probably weren't, but hey, now you know anyway).
Also just some news for underground black metal/death metal appreciators...
Heard talk about a new Nyktalgia album out in 2012 and a new Gris (Canada) album is expected in the next few months as well. Cruciamentum also just had an EP put out by Nuclear Winter that sounds pretty crushing. Along with Grave Miasma they are the top UK death metal act right now.
Teitanblood also have a new EP out VERY soon on Norma Evangelium Diaboli. Stoked for that. Apparently it's not their split tracks for the Katharsis split that (still) hasn't materialised either, so that's a bonus. Seven Chalices was unbelievable. As is their other material!
Nokturnal Mortum also just put out their first live album under Oriana Music too, though have yet to listen to that.
For the meantime...
Nokturnal Mortum are apparently trying to get this album released by Nuclear Blast (having been associated with the Morbid Noizz label back in the nineties). Might be true, might not be, though their music is unquestionably amazing. Just a case of that NSBM tag they keep picking up and putting down that's stopping them from really taking off...Last edited by Incorrigible; 12-21-2011 at 10:34 AM.

I know it's mgwah, but I always say "em gee el ay" in my head haha. If I were to discuss them irl, I'd say mgwah.
New Nyktalgia and Gris? Nice.
I meant to get some Grave Miasma material forever ago, but I forgot.
That Nokturnal Mortum album is awesome. Ukraine is the catchiest BM song ever.░▄▄▄░░▄░░▄░▄░░▄░░▄░░░░▄▄░▄▄░░░▄▄▄░░░▄▄▄

Damn, never knew this band existed:
It's a side project from Erik Wunder, singer/bass player from Cobalt. If you liked Dry Body from "Gin," then this **** is for you. Not metal, but I figured some of you would appreciate it.Life is not the opposite of death, death is the opposite of birth; life is eternal.

New Cult of Luna will be AOTY in 2012.
I haven't really been following any new releases for 2012, I just hope Neurosis puts out a new album. A new Converge would be nice, too.Life is not the opposite of death, death is the opposite of birth; life is eternal.
