Guitar Hero : Metallica
For those of you interested in this game. It has a killer setlist and should be a lot of fun.
In case you're just tuning in now, the all 'Tallica Guitar Hero will be hitting the streets in North America for Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3 on March 29, with our friends outside of North America seeing the game in early May. Nintendo Wii and PS2 versions will follow later in the Spring, also most likely in early May. Guitar Hero: Metallica has some really cool features like different classic venues such as the L.A. Forum, Tushino Airfield, and The Hammersmith Odeon, the ability to play as us or in single instrument mode, and even the Expert+ setting with double bass drum kick pedals. Here are the songs on the game . . . both from us and from some of the bands we admire and even call friends:
METALLICA TRACK
All Nightmare Long
Battery
Creeping Death
Disposable Heroes
Dyers Eve
Enter Sandman
Fade To Black
Fight Fire With Fire
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Frantic
Fuel
Hit The Lights
King Nothing
Master of Puppets
Mercyful Fate (Medley)
No Leaf Clover
Nothing Else Matters
One
Orion
Sad But True
Seek And Destroy
The Memory Remains
The Shortest Straw
The Thing That Should Not Be
The Unforgiven
Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
Wherever I May Roam
Whiplash
OTHER ARTISTS
Alice In Chains - No Excuses
Bob Seger - Turn the Page
Corrosion of Conformity - Albatross
Diamond Head - Am I Evil?
Foo Fighters - Stacked Actors
Judas Priest - Hell Bent For Leather
Kyuss - Demon Cleaner
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Tuesday's Gone
Machine Head - Beautiful Mourning
Mastodon - Blood & Thunder
Mercyful Fate - Evil
Michael Schenker Group - Armed and Ready
Motorhead - Ace of Spades
Queen - Stone Cold Crazy
Samhain - Mother of Mercy
Slayer - War Ensemble
Social Distortion - Mommy's Little Monster
Suicidal Tendencies - War Inside My Head
System of a Down - Toxicity
The Sword - Black River
Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back in Town
If you downloaded the "Death Magnetic" album for Xbox and PS3, those ten songs will play in their entirety in the full game mode. PS2 and Wii versions will include "Broken, Beat & Scarred," "Cyanide" and "My Apocalypse" since they are not compatible with the Death Magnetic downloadable content. In case you haven't done so already, check out the all 'Tallica Guitar Hero trailer.

I never got hooked on guitar hero since i play real guitar lol... but then again it does seem like fun.. with world tour out its cool that you can also play bass, drums and do vocals. Personaly since i play guitar.. id leave that out and just play the bass maybe, but definitely the drums.. and atleast with them you're actualy closer to the real thing.. messing around with vocals would be cool aswell
Dunno if its worth getting GH for the drums and vocals.. Maybe id some mates would wanna come round and mess around with the guitar parts, then itd be fun.

They wanted to have FRIENDS of the band on there to give exposure to some bands others may not know about.
The Aerosmith one was similar in that other bands were on it.
Good idea I think to give people some knowledge into some of Metallica's influences.

Well when you add the 10 songs from Death Magnetic that people downloaded either on 360 or PS3 that makes for a lot of Metallica songs to play along with other bands.
Really cool idea and I think playing in different venues or playing as a band or single player is really cool too.

I hate how they make a single artist game and then they have to add songs they are 'inspired' by. Just include ONLY Metallica songs, and charge 30 or 40$ instead of 60.
If I had the GH drum set I might buy this, but they made it incompatable with the RB2 drums so fuck that...

I went to Sunrise Records today to purchase Metallica tickets and other tickets for different bands, and floor tickets for both dates were sold out. They had 4 pre-sales! Fuck! The best seats they had atm were section 300, but i didn't end up purchasing them.

Hey man. What's up??????
Yeah tickets for 1st night went on sale Wednesday for MetClub members and I am in Section 108. Tickets for regular public went on sale Saturday. Because it was sold out so quick, they added a 2nd night, but MetClub members did not have a chance at pre-sale like we did for the 1st night.
Ended up in Section 121 for the 2nd night. It's all good. 2 different angles I can try to film from.
Sorry about your luck at not getting good seats, but I am doing Toronto 2 nights, Ottawa and Montreal both nights. Going to try and score tickets for both nights in Quebec too. Also hoping for a Hamilton show.
Other than that, I only came on here to see if anyone watched Metallica get inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame tonight.
For those that missed it, Jason was onstage with the boys and at the end Metallica had an All Star jam with Jimmy Page, Joe Perry, Jeff Beck, Ron Wood & Flea.
Really cool ending and a perfect way to enter the Hall Of Fame.

Pretty fun game, just finished it on expert guitar.
Kinda surprised that 'The Thing That Should Not Be' is the final track, think 'Dyers Eve' or 'Fight Fire With Fire' would have made a better finale.
A few of the non-Metallica tracks are pretty boring, but otherwise a fun game.

I wouldn't have thought that people would buy a GH game based around one artist. I thought that the main selling-point of GH was its appeal for a wider audience of people that like some rock songs, but aren't super interested in the music or instruments?

I wish they would've included Until it Sleeps, The God That Failed, and Unforgiven 2 on here instead of some of the lame songs by no-name artists.
I never played Guitar Hero before until my friend got this game last week. I can only go on medium for most of the Metallica songs because I'm still new (I get over 90% most of the time) but when I play other Guitar Hero games that he has, I can do most of them on hard and expert because the Metallica songs are that hard to do on medium as a beginner.

You're saying you have the separate vocals/bass/guitar/drums tracks?
If so, you could send them my way.
