Your milage may vary.
Some people are able to eat sugar alcohols and not have ketosis affected. Other's can't. The bad news is that if you can eat the stuff without farting, upset tummy and explosive poo, then you are probably digesting it, so you should count it as a carb. If you do have all the nasty effects, you are not digesting it, so can probably discount it.
What often works is counting a sugar alcohol as half a carb.
