Is this total broscience?
You must switch different foods every 4-6 weeks in your diet in order to maximize gains. For example, if one has been eating oats in the morning, pasta for meal 2, and chicken for meal 3 (and has been eating the same for 4-6 weeks), they must switch to other/different sources of carbs/protein for the next upcoming 4-6 weeks, and then switch again after 4-6 weeks. A trainer in the gym advised me on this and basically stated that your body will get used to the same nutrients each and every day for a period of time, so in order to maximize gains, it's always beneficial to switch up different foods every 4-6 weeks. Is this a myth? Can I eat the same throughout my 6 month bulk ahead of me (currently bulked a month so far). I don't really mind eating the same stuff over and over again and I have a cheat meal planned every Sunday. Thanks

your body doesn't know what your eating, just the nutrients and calories.
Not every meal is identical to the T anyways.. i think it's broscience.

that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. No matter the form it is when it enters your mouth it is all protein, carbs, and fats which makes up the calories. It's irrelevent if you eat sweet potatoes for 4 weeks or 40 weeks.
I would suggest you just ask him "why?". I never understand why people don't ask. The answer of "because your body gets used to the food and you need to change the food" is not an answer. Just ask him how and why from a physiological perspective it makes a difference.
he won't have an answer.

Yes it's nonsense.
I would still not eat the same everyday though, just too much delicious food out there.

Or he'll draw an analogy to changing up exercises every so often, at which point the OP should punch him in the throat and yell, "It's not the same thing, pinhead!"

Your food and meal choices usually seems to draw a parallel to your sex life.
If you eat the same foods over and over and don't really care to switch it up... well....just sayin'.

Nah, your diet has to constantly change but you still need the Whey and WMS after every workout.
