In addition to buggering (yes, an Aussie term) up my left wrist and not being able to use my beloved free-weights for anything other than nifty doorstops... today, nursing wrist, I slipped at work and split my toenail - wreaking my brilliant idea of walking in lieu of weights until wrist is better.
My sister brought over her Wii Fit to tempt me to spend money so she can challenge me over the internet. I messed about with it. Yes, it did BMI (which is a horrible lying thing). I played balance games, muscle building moves, boxed my 3yo nephew (who beat me... twice...) and generally messed about.
But I woke with some nice DOMs.
I'm thinking of adding it to my home gym instead of a rower.
Anyone else play with this thing?

Status: Wrist back in action - starting weights again tomorrow morning (light - don't want to re-injure!). On an IBS-friendly diet which is resulting in less sick days, and weight dropping (fricken YAY!)

I havn't yet but a lot of my friends do - especially those with kids and those that are more housebound than some.
I hear it is great fun for generally getting you moving if that is what you want.
I don't have time for it myself with all my other active commitments but if I was in your situation I would definately consider it.
Healing vibes to your wrist coming your way

We got a Wii for xmas. I'm going to buy a fit board for it, but they are still hard to find. My kid keeps asking me when we are going to get one. Might have to do ebay.

It does look like fun but I have yet to meet anyone who has had results with one.
I have met a number of people that have had results with a rower.
Now, as for the buggering you had mentioned thats a different story...."To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda
