WTF. Well, I'm happy, and concerned at the same time. I stated bulking 3 weeks and 2 days ago, with 1000 alories above maintainance. At the begining of the bulk, I went on Creatine Monohydrate. Bodyfortress capsules (apparently ****), and responded pretty good to it. My lifts were better, I felt stronger etc. About a week after I used Body Fortress I swtiched to one sent to me for free by a company from whom I bought a tub of protein from. I've been on it for 5 training sessions exactly, and havent used it on off days.
Now, 3.2 weeks into my bulk (of some serious toil, eating every 3 hours, eating super clean, and reaonable macro splitting), I have gained...4KG? I just weighed myself in my birthday suit, right on waking, hungry as ****, after pissing twice, and with a clean bowel. 72kg from 68. In 3 weeks and 2 days. And here's the funny part:
I AM leaner. My abs are extremely visible. All 6 of them. 7 and 8 are popping out in fact. Hard as ever. I *look* bigger.
Question: How much of it could be water weight? Have I REALLY put on 4KG of solid muscle in 3 weeks?

I've been lifting for a year. Since then I've cut, lifted initially for the 1st 5 months with terrible nutrition, and a few more with ok nutrition, but I only really started bulking "properly" around 3 weeks ago. The key thing to rememebr is what my weight was 3 weeks ago. 68KG. I changed my weight on here after weighting myself after workout with shoes and a few small clothes; a vest, shoes and shorts, after drinking a ton of water, and with a bursting bladder. I was 74.1kg then. I just did a rough estimate. I knew I was wrong obviously, but now?
Up to how many KG of water? 1KG? 2KG? 3KG? And in the morning on waking and pissing twice, and taking a ****?Last edited by RC2008; 01-25-2009 at 01:17 AM.

Yeah, water weight dude.
The more food you eat, the more water your body stores. Thats why people automatically lose a couple kilos as soon as they start a low carb/low calorie diet. Then after a couple weeks, the weight loss slows down to normal.
The same happens when bulking. If you go from a deficit diet to a surplus diet, then you will automatically pack on a few kilos of water.
