Nah bro, they don't run around ceaselessly self-promoting to cover up their lack of talent or using solely their celebrity status to give their ****ty movies a semblance of pulling power, so they don't count unfortunately.
Wow! You put your opinion across in a manner most befitting of a Will Smith-basher! How SHOCKING!
He has the ability to choose his movies, does he not? Or is some master puppeteer consistently casting him in ****ty movies?
Think about that one, "retard tard****"

Top earning actors has nothing to do with talent and lol at Johnny being considered a tier 2 now after pirates banking big. Cruises work hasn't been drawing like it used to either...
Also on set a top draw guy or well respected guy like Smith has the freedom to take scenes in a direction he sees fit.Last edited by HaRRd LiThIuM; 01-25-2009 at 03:37 AM.

Op, how could you hate on Pursuit? You cant say it was garbage...MIB, I Robot, Enemy of the State and BadBoys I, all good movies. The rest have been lacking ...don't know about 7lbs.
Honestly, I can feel your pain because I haven't seen a great movie in 10 years. But his aren't total garbage...All humans are just a bunch of sporadic clone attempts gone wrong.

if you want to see real actors, marlon brando, gregory peck, clint eastwood, gene hackman, deniro, frank sinatra, etc. these guys are untouchable
as of today though, dicaprio, clooney, pierce brosnan, eastwood, mark wahlberg, josh hartnett, johnny depp, brad pitt, denzel washington, etc. are pretty much the best ones
will smith is just an average guy who makes blockbuster movies. but his movies have no substance whatsoever and guy has zero personality and his body language sucksLast edited by JoeyDaFool; 01-25-2009 at 08:40 AM.

Thankyou... some common sense in a thread that's filled with people whose best arguments are his "alpha-ness" and his "acting". His acting isn't good enough to separate him from hundreds of his contemporaries, and his movies have no enduring qualities. Most of them are mildly entertaining flicks, IF that.

he's an ACTOR, what else is he supposed to do but make good flicks? Save the fukin Manatees?
And I used that list to judge everything. ACTING ABILITY, AWARDS, AND BOX OFFICE POTENTIAL.
Will Smith has been nominated for oscars, acted really well in films, AND IS THE BIGGEST BOX OFFICE DRAWER and has been for the last decade or so!

no substance huh? Pursuit of Happiness? No substance. Seven Pounds? No substance?
I suppose Oceans and robbing a casino has alot of substance?
Whoohooo look I am a pirate, there's a WHOLE lot of substance in that.
Brad Pitt I agree with.
Denzel, Ok.
Mark Wahlberg and Josh Hartnett over Smith you joking?
