A Quick Question Regarding My Home Gym...
Does the Powertec Strength Rack System come w/ the lat attachment? I've been looking all over the internet, but I have not found a definite answer. I also called bb.com's service line, but the guy wasn't 100% sure. Can anyone help me out?

That link you posted is with the lat attachment. The link without the lat is $499:

I say it does include it. I say this for two reasons. 1)the price of the rack alone is about $500 now, so why would this one be $750 if it didn't include more stuff? 2)this paragraph:
"The base Power rack can be purchased alone and includes both the chin up bar and also the dip bars at no additional cost. For a complete gym you can add the lat tower option that provides a high low pulley system for numerous cable exercises. Purchase the complete system and save money."
Its not explicit, but I think its saying you get everything with the "system".
What a crappy write up! Way too ambiguous.

The write up really is pretty poor and non-specific and it doesn't sound like you got the most knowledgeable customer support guy. Here's what I would do with any big purchase when there is a question like this.
Call back.
Get the name of whomever you talk to and their answer to your question and write it all down along with the date and time you call.
If the first guy doesn't know the answer, ask for his superior, and get their name and then the answer from them. Again make sure you write it all down.
Then order ideally over the phone with the exact person who answered your question.
That way if there is a problem with your order you are much more likely to have it resolved in your favor. Its a much more powerful argument to be able to say I talked to "Bob" on such and such a day at such and such a time and he stated that "it comes with the lat attachment" than it is to say 'but you guys said on the phone that it had it'. When you have details on your side you will usually get your way because they can't claim that there was some misunderstanding.

Actually, that is exactly what I was going to do. I just sent an email, so I will have written proof & I'll be talking to customer support again tomorrow & I might even record the conversation, so if any problems arrise I can resolve the situation w/ Promissory Estoppel.

You should have a part number anyway...
The Powertec rack just by itself is "P-PR"
The set with lat is "P-PRS"

Heres the message I got from bb.com's customer service:
Hello,
Thank you for your email. The Lat attachment is not included in the set. The only difference that I see with the systems, is the style of rack set up they have. Let us know if you have any further questions or need assistance. We are more then happy to help. Enjoy your day and thank you for choosing bodybuilding.com.
Thank You!

Isn't that false advertisment? Plus how can a rack that supposably weighs 300+ lbs hold the same amount of weight as a rack thats only 200+ lbs? Either customer service doesn't know what there talking about or bb.com is using false advertisement, just my opinion.

Huh?
What are you getting for your $250 extra then. Can you look around the net for that package from someone else? I still think they're wrong, but what do I know?
How much does the lat attachment cost if you just wanted to upgrade? Somebody has to know what's going on here. Is this package offered only from bb.com or from ptec?
I want some answers darn it!
I may have went just a little too far, sorry.

I feel the same way, it just doesnt make any sense. Powertec only makes 1 power rack excluding their commercial power rack.
Plus on other sites, the whole "system" w/ the lat attachment weighs 385lbs. That same weight is shown on the specs on bb.com. Something isn't right. I sent another email to bb.com & I'll be calling them today. I'll keep updating on every piece of info I find.

Pffft......if bb.com doesn't want to get any better handle on their merchandise than that, I'd just move to another company.

Are you saying you bought the P-PR for $499 through bodybuilding.com, and it was the power rack with the pulley system?

When you were initially inquiring whether the lat attachment was included, I thought you were asking whether the pulley system was included. That is why I replied with the link to the $499 one to show the difference between the rack alone ($499) vs. the rack with pulley system ($749).
But, now I understand (I think). You're just wanting to know if the lat pulldown bar is included. Right? Sorry I muddled up your thread.

I think bb.com left enough room for interpretation for us all to be muddled.
