Calve exercises at home
Hi all,
I workout at home. I have a power rack, adjustable bench without leg option, and of course I got bar, dumbbells and plates.
I try to workout 3x a week on a 2-split, so I do legs 1.5x a week. Every time I do legs, I do single legged calve raises, holding a 70 pound dumbbell in one arm, while raising the opposite leg, while standing on two plates (approx 2 inch), holding the rack with my free hand.
So I don't have a seated calve raise machine, or what have you, but I want to stress the calves more, they're lagging behind in size. Instead of increasing the amount of sets/reps/weights of this single exercise, are there any other exercises I could do at home?

If you live with somebody else, you can do donkey calf raises. It's a silly feeling exercise(cuz the person is sitting on your back) but it works

Yes I have been thinking about that, but my girlfriend isn't always around when I'm working out, and when she is, she usually can't be ar5ed . I did come up with an idea though. I thought about putting my bar on the support bars of the rack at hip height, then I would need some kind of cushion between my lower back and the bar to do those donkeys. Still I think it'll probably fail, too uncomfortable or wobbly.
