Aniracetam Availability???

I took this product in the fall and had good results with it! Now I can't find it anywhere. Is it banned or something?? :-(

I saw dsade mention somewhere that there has been a crackdown on racetams lately by the FDA (i think).

None with my suppliers. Prices have went up and availability down. A review of the FDA's website makes no mention of any crackdown.

I don't think they can do anything with it most racetams patents expired years ago. Perhaps this is indirectly due to the FDA sending agents to many countries.

I don't know where there suppliers are from or who would threaten them for importing non DEA controlled supplements and on what basis. Considering this would appear to be 2nd hand information the truth may be unknown.

Levetiracetam was FDA approved awhile ago with Nefiracetam possibly next.

Well UCB who created Piracetam never sought approval for it in the US but for Keppra they did and got it. I don't see this particular drug as a concern or competitor to racetams since it's not really a nootropic or used for the same conditions as most racetams.

So how can we find out why the FDA to going to great lengths to do this? Im tempted to pick up the phone and call my local FDA office for kicks.

I decided to email the FDA and ill call them when their offices open tomorrow. I am really curious.

Well so far other companies have commented from what their suppliers are telling them to my knowledge. However the FDA has no mention of anything on their site so it's hard to say. Bringing this to their attention may not help the situation if there is one but it may provide some answers.

I have the original Russia product and noticed nothing from taking it. If there was alot more research on it and the price was cheaper I would look into it more.
