JUST ONE MORE QUESTION...rilly.
So I think I'm gonna have the goods to compete in figure in Oct. of this year. The question is...I plan on doing the training on my own. I'm going to buy a figure competitors dvd.( nutrition, training program, posing, tanning, suits, the whole shebang.) Do you think it's possible to be ready for a comp without paying a trainer to help you? In this horrible economy I gotta be very frugal on what I spend my money on. P.S. I am an ex personal trainer..and I'm privvy to a multitude of different training programs. Thanks girls!

although I have no experience in figure comps, I have read quite a few Bodyspace profiles of others that have gotten themselves comp ready (and won!) without the help of a trainer.
Maybe give it a whirl this time and if you think at the end you could have gotten better results with a trainer, then do that for next time? Best of Luck!

You may want to look into working with Derek and Scivation to help you with your first contest.
A lot of girls on here are working with him, including me just for general fat loss /muscle gain programs. I've been very impressed with the results I've had in my first two weeks so far.
If I ever decided to do a comp that would be the way I go. There is a contest trainer that comes to my gym, but his idea of a contest prep diet is only chicken, broccoli and asparagus. No thank you.

You know what? I did go that route a coupla months ago. I couldn't handle the CHA diet which Derek put me on. I started my own keto diet a coupla weeks ago with the same results. Fatigue, bloating, weakness, crankiness, etc...I just may have to go the chicken, broccoli and asparagus route after all. lol. Thank you for the great idea though. Reps to you too!
